Publishing scientific videos

Audiovisual media such as videos of research experiments, simulations, animations, video abstracts or conference recordings are an important part of scientific communication and publication culture. Among other things, they complement scientific articles, can be linked to them and also play a central role in the publication of (free) educational materials.

The  TIB AV-Portal, is a reliable, innovative and non-commercial platform for scientific videos. In accordance with the TIB's collection priorities, its focus is on technology as well as architecture, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics. However, the AV-Portal is explicitly open to other scientific disciplines as well.

The AV-Portal is the ideal publication platform for you and your video content. The only requirement: the videos must be relevant from a scientific point of view. This is the case, for example, if they are directly related to scientific activities, such as a lecture or article publication, and fulfil the principles of good scientific practice.

Provision of single videos

Register as a user on the AV-Portal and then upload your videos.

Provision of extensive video collections

For extensive or very large video collections, for example a lecture series or lecture recordings of a conference, we offer a streamlined workflow using cloud or FTP solutions, among others.
