Castaways would will swim out to a boat, where they would retrieve three bags of rice. They would then have to get through an obstacle course to get the bags to shore, where they would open them to retrieve three balls. Each tribe would have to maneuver their three balls across a holey wall or a table maze into three slots. The first tribe to fill all three slots wins.

In Kaôh Rōng, the tribes had to transfer three bags of rice across an obstacle course in the water, which consisted first of a narrow hole in a wall of bamboo that the tribes had to push the bags through, and then a balance beam to cross. At the end of the course, they must open the bags to retrieve three balls and maneuver them in a maze of holes. After an early lead at the obstacle course, the Gondol tribe easily finished first. In a close race at the third ball, To Tang won their first challenge, sending Chan Loh to their first Tribal Council.
The challenge was again used in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, with a similar obstacle course to the one used in Kaôh Rōng. After a tight race through the obstacle course, Soko fell behind after Chrissy Hofbeck repeatedly struggled to stay on the beam while maneuvering a ball. This allowed the Yawa and Levu tribes to win, sending Soko to their first Tribal Council.
The challenge reappeared in Winners at War in a modified version where the balance beam was removed from the obstacle course and the final part was a table maze instead of a holey wall. Yara won the challenge, sending both Dakal and Sele to a Double Tribal Council.
A modified version of this challenge appeared in Survivor 47 with an additional component taken from Rusty Gates and a modified version of the snake maze which now had to be completed by three tribemates working in tandem. Though all three tribes remained close throughout the entire challenge, Gata was the first to reach the table maze and, despite some arguments, capitalized on their small lead to win their first immunity challenge. Meanwhile, Tuku struggled on both the gate portion and the table maze, allowing Lavo to finish ahead of them and send Tuku to their first Tribal Council.
