Three tribe members sit in a boat, which four other members are tethered to. The swimmers must get the boat to a tower, where the three passengers will collect three sets of keys. The swimmers must then get the boat to a platform, where they must use the keys to release puzzle pieces, which they must then use to solve a puzzle. The first tribe to solve their puzzle wins.
In Survivor 42, the challenge was modified to be played by three tribes, with two tribe members acting as passengers and two acting as swimmers. The first two tribes to finish would win.
History[]
The challenge debuted in Edge of Extinction as the third Immunity Challenge. Manu held a slight lead going into the puzzle portion, but Kama was able to overtake them and finish their puzzle first to win immunity, sending Manu back to Tribal Council.
The challenge reappeared in Winners at War as the fifth Immunity Challenge. Dakal took a big lead heading into the puzzle portion after Sele struggled with collecting their keys. Once Sele was able to get their keys, however, they breezed through the puzzle to win immunity, sending Dakal to Tribal Council.
The challenge appeared in Survivor 42 as the fourth Immunity Challenge, and tribes had to piece together a hanging vertical jigsaw puzzle of a tuna. As Lydia Meredith struggled in retrieving a key for Vati, Ika and Taku pulled ahead. While Taku managed to cruise to yet another easy victory, Vati managed to capitalize on Ika's struggle with the puzzle and pull off a close second-place finish, sending Ika to Tribal Council.
