While holding an object (such as a shield or drum), team members will bounce a ball back and forth between their teammates as they make their way from a start line to a receptacle at the finish line. The first team to get all their balls into the receptacle wins.
History[]
The challenge debuted in China as the final eight Reward Challenge, where the Hae Da Fung tribe competed in two teams of four. The yellow team of Amanda Kimmel, Courtney Yates, Erik Huffman, and Frosti Zernow worked as a cohesive unit, landing all three balls before their rival red team had even landed their first to win an overnight cruise on the Li River.
In Nicaragua, the tribes had to first crawl through a mud pit and look for a total of four balls in bales of hay. Then, using shields, three tribe members will bounce the balls from one person to the next, transporting the balls into a barrel at the end of the course. The first tribe to land all four balls in their barrel wins. Espada used the Medallion of Power and had to land one fewer ball than their younger rivals on La Flor. Despite this, La Flor made up the deficit to tie things up at the final phase of the challenge. However, a series of fumbles by Benry Henry cost his tribe severely, as Tyrone Davis ended up landing Espada's last ball first to win immunity, sending La Flor to their first Tribal Council.
