Back in Slack (also known as Victory in the Bag) is a recurring Survivor challenge. It debuted in Survivor: David vs. Goliath and reappeared in Survivor 41.
Tribes must make their way across an obstacle course, either on land or in the water. Once they have reached the other end of the course, one member must attempt to land a series of items on a target. The first tribe to land the specified number of items on their target wins.
History[]
United States[]
The challenge first appeared as the final ten Reward Challenge in David vs. Goliath. Divided into two teams of five, each person had to cross a rope bridge using hanging ropes over the water to the other end. Once at the end, one member must attempt to land three of poles onto a rung, with each end of the poles having to be on the same level of the rung. The orange team of Alec Merlino, Alison Raybould, Christian Hubicki, Gabby Pascuzzi, and Mike White fell behind early after Alison struggled to cross the rope bridge. They would manage to catch up, however, with Alec quickly landing all three poles just ahead of the purple team to win reward for the orange team.
In Survivor 41, the challenge was used as a Reward/Immunity Challenge. After crossing the rope bridge, the tribes had to dig up and land five sandbags on elevated platforms. All three tribes were relatively even at the final stage, with Luvu, then Yase, managing to land all their sandbags to win reward and immunity, sending Ua to Tribal Council.
