"Boone's Apprentice" is the thirty-second episode of the first season of Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero. It premiered on August 17, 2015.
Synopsis[]
Boone is zapped into an animal barbarian and wizards world where he is a good wizard tasked with conjuring up a magic spell to stop Rippen.
Plot[]
The episode starts at The Odyssey, where Penn and Sashi are mad at him for making them lose a dodgeball game. They stand on their zap platforms while discussing before they get zapped in by Phyllis.
The heroes get zapped as muscular animal barbarians as Sashi tells the mission; an evil sorcerer has an enchanted orb and the orb will engulf the world in eternal darkness if moonlight hits the orb, so a wizard has to use his enchanted scepter to destroy the orb. Boone, who is on a tree branch, asks who is the wizard, which Sashi tells him he is the wizard. Boone asks who again, with Sashi repeating the answer. Boone tells them he is an owl and that their calls sound like "who?", laughing before telling them he didn't paid attention to the mission.
Penn and Sashi make a puppet show based on the mission to explain to Boone what is it, with Boone understanding it's up to him, but saying Sashi playing as Boone is a miscast, annoying Sashi. Various fox barbarians appear, with one of them saying they will never get in their fortress. So, Penn tells Boone to enchant the scepter and commands the mice barbarians to attack the fox barbarians as he, Sashi and the mice barbarians, rush towards them. Boone tells them he doesn't how to enchant, which Sashi tells him to ask his friend for help.
Boone tells them he doesn't have a friend as he hears a crunching noise behind a cart, so he goes to check, encountering Hogarth eating nachos. Hogarth gets scared upon seeing Boone, accidentally tossing his nachos at Boone's face. Hogarth tells Boone he was excited to meet him, calling him "royal wizard supreme". Boone asks who, leading Hogarth to laugh, saying he got the joke about their calls sounding like "who". Boone, hearing the animal barbarians battling, says they should get focused on enchanting the scepter. Hogarth shows Boone a spell by casting it at the bats, turning them into singing bats, impressing Boone.
Meanwhile, Penn, Sashi and the mice barbarians are fighting the fox barbarians. Rippen, using a telescope, is watching them from his castle, saying they will never reach it. Larry tells him what he will do if he had a magic orb, distracting him. Rippen commands the fox barbarians to fire the arrows and they do so, firing them at Penn, Sashi and the mice barbarians. Penn asks Boone if he is working on enchanting the scepter, which Boone, eating nachos, gets surprised and continues working on the enchantment, nervously telling him he is working on it. Boone tells Hogarth they need a dragon's scale for the enchantment, but Hogarth tells they don't have any, so he suggests they should use basil as substitute. So, Boone tells him again they need a dragon's scale to enchant the scepter, but Hogarth, not paying attention, tells him to explain again.
Meanwhile, Penn, Sashi and the mice barbarians reach the castle's entrance, so Rippen commands the fox barbarians to drop hot oil, but they drop oil that makes skin shine instead, leading to the mice barbarians, along with Penn to admire their shining muscles, annoying Rippen. Penn and the mice barbarians rush towards the door, but the door is blocked. So, Sashi leaps towards the door and kicks it, pushing it and letting Penn and the mice barbarians enter the castle.
Meanwhile, Boone and Hogarth are entering a dragon's cave, but, as they enter, Hogarth approaches and picks up the dragon's tail, thinking it is a scarf. Boone, scared, tells him it is the dragon's tail as the dragon rises in front of the two, revealing themselves to be a muscular three-headed dragon barbarian and blow fire at Boone and Hogarth as the two dodge it. Bonne tells Hogarth to use his wand, but he tosses it at the dragon, releasing magic gas as Boone tells Hogarth what he has done.
At Rippen's castle, Rippen tells Penn and Sashi that they are too powerless from stopping the orb, which Penn tells him they got Boone to stop it, but finds out Boone isn't there. The fox barbarians capture Penn and Sashi as they are about to get smashed by a fox barbarian carrying a club, but they then hear someone singing, which Larry says it is his jam. Boone and Hogarth then appear riding the three-headed dragon, who has been affected by Hogarth's spell. Boone tries to cast the spell to the orb, but it doesn't work, leading Rippen to laugh at him. Boone gets shocked when he finds out they used the wrong spell book and, therefore, casted the wrong spell. Boone says he failed the mission, but Hogarth calms him down by sharing his bowl of nachos. Penn angrily tells him it isn't time to eat nachos, but Boone decides to eat them anyways. The orb is about to engulf the world in eternal darkness, so Boone suggests the three-headed dragon to knock the orb off its stand, so the dragon knocks the orb with its tail, sending it falling towards the floor, breaking upon impact, much to Rippen's dismay.
The dragon lands on the floor as Boone and Hogarth dismount them. Penn tells Boone he never doubted him for a second as Hogarth tries to tell Sashi something about brackets, which she refuses as she flings Hogarth far away, ending the episode.
