|Hello, I’m Tom Moseley, Republican candidate for house of Delegates dist 44. I am married , father of 3, with my first Grandchild on her way. I am retired/disabled from the US Postal Service.
- I am a proud member of the Republican Party, however I believe to make decisions that affect my neighbors and fellow West Virginians, we must set down at the table and listen to all sides. Then we must make based on what is right.
- I believe we need change, and that change is a politician that will listen and try to help each and every one of our citizens on a 1 on 1 basis.
- During election time, politicians will make you every promise possible while posting their faces on billboards, yard signs, and television/radio adds. They claim that they will work for you, but will they? Do their promises only reach to the election date, and then ignore what they have promised? I don’t want to be just a face on a billboard. I’m not going to make you empty promises. I want to meet and speak with as many of you as I can, and if elected, I will make you but one promise, and that is to help you before, during, and after the election. My office door and my phone, will always be open
I am passionate about getting competitive wages, affordable healthcare, and a higher educational platform into our state, without taxing our residence or taking money from their pockets. Instead, I believe we must cut government waste and put those funds into our needed areas
I look up to our Savior Jesus Christ, and I hope to follow in the guidelines that he has set fourth for each of us.
Watch house of cards, that what we don’t want in office !
I believe an elected official has to work for their public the entire time they are in office. They must take each person’s concern and issues as importantly as the next, and not just be approachable during the election.
I believe in our constitutional rights, and I believe in common sense when it comes to decisions. We must work through our differences to make decisions that are for our fellow West Virginians, and not that would infringe upon our rights or take money from our pockets.
To help pass laws that protect our constitutional rights, and help West Virginians without taking money from their pockets. In turn to go against any legislation that goes against our rights and freedoms as Americans.
I would like people to be able to say, I carried out my promise to help, and was successful in helping West Virginia improve from where it was at when first elected.
I remember President Regan being shot on March 30th 1981. I was 7 years old.
I worked for a grocery store when I was 16 years old. I continued to work as a grocery bagger until my High School graduation.
Well, it’s actually not a “ book” . I collect comic books, so it would have to be the Amazing Spider-man ! Lol
I got my mind set on you, from George Harrison.
When I was young, my mother was diagnosed with severe RA. My father wasn’t around much, and eventually left us on our own. I struggled for years to accept that it wasn’t my fault, and that I did nothing to make him not want to be part of my life. I had to take care of my mother, when my HS buddies where out being teenagers. I was resentful for years, as our money was tight, and I had to grow up at such an early age. . I am now thankful for the life I had to grow up in and wouldn’t change it for anything. I learned to appreciate everything I have worked for on my life, and my family. I now understand just how hard my mother pushed for me when she wasn’t really able to, and that gives me the strength to believe I can push through anything
That both sides listen to each other, and work together for the betterment of our State and our fellow West Virginians
I believe we must keep our graduates working within our state, and take care of our current residents and our retirees. We can only do that in cutting government waste, and getting money back into much needed areas such as our educational system, and other essential jobs in our state’s infrastructure.
It is easier to pass bills, however it would allow bills to be passed without going though enough channels, and bills could end up being passed that aren’t in the best interest of our citizens.
No, because sometimes a fresh set of eyes, can bring new ideas, that represent the people, without the mindset of a career politician
Yes, first of all, at the end of the day, we are all human. We need to get along, even if we disagree on the floor. It makes for a respectful working environment, and keeps delegates from voting for or against a bill just because they may or may not like you, instead of looking at it for the best interest of the people or the State.
I believe we need to look at the map, and make the districts make since within a populated area. It shouldn’t look like you followed a cow path to set boundaries.
With a heritage being Cherokee, I would love to work with human rights. I would also like to be a part of helping our educational system and our educators
No, I have to be my own person, and work for my area residents to the best of my abilities, not what someone has done before me.
I think the same theme that I hear, is that people believe their government officials are not someone that they believe they can talk to, and feel they are unapproachable. I am one of you, and if elected I will continue to work with and for you, and be available for you should you need to talk.
My Mother always ask me if I wanted to hear a dirty joke, then when I said yes, she would reply, “ A white horse fell on the mud! I never quite got it, and it was annoying at times, but I would give almost anything to hear her tell it one more time.
Only when absolutely necessary
Yes, I believe their are always 2 sides to a coin, and you have to set down at the table and come up with a solution that works for all involved. I remember a saying that I heard long ago. “ if both parties walk away and neither side is completely happy or completely dissatisfied, then you had come to a good conclusion .
