David Pritt (Republican Party) (also known as Elliott) is a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 50. He assumed office on December 1, 2022. His term ended on December 1, 2024.
Pritt (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the West Virginia House of Delegates to represent District 50. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
In April 2023, Pritt announced that he was leaving the Democratic Party and would register as a Republican.[1] To learn more about state legislators who switched parties, click here.
Biography
David Pritt was born in West Virginia and graduated from Oak Hill High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 2008 to 2014. Pritt earned a bachelor's degree from Concord University in 2018 and a graduate degree from the same university in 2020. His career experience includes working as a social studies teacher. Previously, he worked in aircraft avionics repair and marketing. His past organizational affiliations have included the West Virginia Mountain Party SEC, Socialist Party USA Anti-War Commission, and Veterans for Peace.[2][3]

I am a Fayette County native and a current tax paying resident, an Air Force Veteran, a father, and a public educator here in Fayette County—I even teach West Virginia history to a great group of eight graders! I understand West Virginian values, and I truly understand, live out, and respect Appalachian culture and heritage.
