Pushkin's campaign website highlighted the following issues:
“ |
I believe in the democratic process. A representative of the people should do just that, represent the people. My job is not to keep my job nor treat this office as a feather in my cap...it is to work for you. I will always be accessible to any citizen of this district. My contact info is available on this site and I encourage open communication on any issue that concerns you. Economic Development Stimulate the creation and growth of small, locally owned business by offering tax breaks. Work with Secretary of State's office to create a "new business owner's kit" to help guide the entrepreneur and simplify the process. Protecting the Safety Net Programs like Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, WIC, SNAP, CHIP protect our seniors, veterans, children, and the working poor - I have, and I will continue to fight to protect these programs. Labor Issues As the president of the American Federation of Musicians Local 136, I strongly support the rights of workers to a good wage, a safe work environment, and collective bargaining.[9] |

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
