John Francis Dooling, Jr. (1908-1981) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
He was nominated by President John F. Kennedy on September 14, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 21, 1961, and received his commission on September 22nd. Dooling was succeeded in this position by Charles Sifton. He assumed senior status on November 30, 1976, and served in that position until his death on January 12, 1981.[1]
