George Rosling (1900-1973) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He joined the court in 1961 after an appointment from John F. Kennedy. At the time of his appointment, he served as a justice for the City Court of the City of New York. He served until his death on April 16, 1973.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

Eastern District of New York

Rosling received a recess appointment from John F. Kennedy on October 5, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; he was nominated on January 15, 1962, confirmed by the Senate on March 16, and received his commission on March 17th. He served until his death on April 16, 1973.[1] Roslin was succeeded in this position by Thomas Platt.
