Thomas Chatfield (1871-1922) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He joined the court in 1907 after an appointment from Theodore Roosevelt. At the time of his appointment, he was the Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District. He served until his death on December 24, 1922.[1]

Judicial career

Eastern District of New York

Chatfield was nominated by President Theodore Roosevelt on December 13, 1906 to fill a seat vacated by Edward Beers Thomas. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 9, 1907, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on December 24, 1922.[1] Chatfield was succeeded in this position by Robert Alexander Inch.
