第4話　小さな恋、咲いちゃった

次から次へとたまこに試食としてお餅を食べさせてもらったモチマッヅィは動けなくなるくらい太ってしまう。
｢アンタさ、バカでしょ？だっていくら言われたからってそこまで食べるなんて…｣
｢いや、元々そこまで食べるつもりはなかったんだが、あの娘に勧められて気づかぬうちに…｣
｢で、何個食べたの？｣
｢さぁな、細かいことに拘るような鳥の器が小さい男ではない｣
｢覚えてないの？鶏？｣
｢何を!?あのような家畜と一緒にするではない！｣
｢似たようなもんでしょ｣
｢失敬な｣
｢いい加減お姉ちゃんのペースに合わせてると大変なことになるよ、本当に何にも考えてないんだから｣
｢コラコラ、実の姉のことを悪く言うのではない｣
｢食べすぎのデブ鳥に言われたくない｣
｢小っちゃいくせに｣
｢…っ!?｣
商店街がお祭りモードになる中、あんこはお祭りの日にクラスメイトと一緒に博物館へ行く約束をするのだが、お祭りの日は餅屋は大忙しになるために豆大に反対される。

早起きして午前中に仕事を頑張ればお昼から博物館に行ってもいいことになったあんこは待ち合わせ場所の学校へ向かう途中に花屋のかおるにお手伝いをお願いされてしまい、待ち合わせの時間に間に合わなくなってしまう。

限定20個の「はっぴー餅」を店頭で売り込むあんこのもとに博物館帰りの男の子がお土産を持って訪ねて来てくれるのだが、大声で売り込んでいるところを見られて恥ずかしと部屋のクローゼットに隠れてしまう。
あんこがクローゼットから出てくると、想いを寄せる男の子からお土産を受けることができるのだった。
｢え…あんこ、こっちの子？｣
｢みたい…｣
｢何が？｣
