Lucas Wykes was the second son of the Wykes family and the younger half-brother of Bairon Wykes. He is one of the major antagonists of The Beginning After The End. He is a minor antagonist of Season 2, the primary antagonist of Season 3, a supporting antagonist of Season 4 and one of the two main antagonists of Season 5.
Appearance[]
Lucas doesn't look much older than Arthur. During his first debut, he wears an elaborate conjurer’s robe, while he holds an white wodden staff in his arm, which contains a large ruby-coloured gem at the top. Just looking at his appearance and the level of his equipment, one could guess that he is from an noble background. He possesses medium-length blond hair that covered his ears and was trimmed to set just above his dull, green eyes. There is a permanent smirk plastered on his face and he lifts his chin just a tad bit so he was always looking down at everything. [3]
Due to his elven lineage, Lucas also possesses slightly pointed ears.
Personality[]
Lucas embodies every negative aspect of nobles, being vain, selfish, and arrogant; thinking he is above all others.[3] His most defining aspects are his cunning, and cowardice, willing sacrifice allies around him to survive.[4] These traits seem to stem from an inferiority complex as he has grown up being hated for his lineage. Despite his status as a slave’s child, Lucas has been spoiled his whole life and refuses to be looked down on by beings he believes are of lesser status than himself. He is prone to outbursts of anger whenever something doesn't go his way or if he is mocked by his peers.[3]
Background[]
Lucas is a descendant of the prestigious Wykes family, being the second son of Otis Vayhur Wykes and the younger half-brother of the kingdom's second greatest warrior, Bairon Wykes. Lucas however was the child of his father’s elf slave and was looked down on and resented by his family for his mere existence. His older brother Bairon seemed to have been the only one to care about his brother, though he was still quite cold and strict to Lucas.
Having resided in Sapin his whole life, Lucas was created for the sole purpose of breeding stronger mages into the Wykes family. Lucas awakened his mana at the age of eight, with an affinity for fire, despite his elf lineage. His family experimented with Lucas by giving him elixirs and beast cores to accelerate his growth. Having reached a stunt in his growth, his father forced Lucas to become an adventurer to further enhance his abilities through real battles.
