The Beginning After The End Wiki

Once more, welcome to The Beginning After The End Wiki! There are very few policies which apply across all of Wikia; the ones that do can be found at their Policy Category.

Try to approach the rules, regulations and policies with a little common sense; most of them are self-explanatory so try and adhere to the spirit rather than the lettering of the rules, and be prepared to break the rules on the rare occasion when they conflict with the goal of improving the wiki.

General Rules & Regulations

Don't vandalise current pages. This includes knowingly adding false information. Continued vandalism will result in a block.

No offensive pages with sexual/vulgar language or racist remarks.

Don't make pointless pages. If you see one, put the {{Delete}} tag on.

Please respect neutrality.

We don't mind whether you spell in British English or American English.

Please don't comment on closed discussions.

Patreon exclusive content is strictly forbidden.

Never add a link or reference to unofficial or pirate sources.

Ways to Stay Neutral

Try not to only provide one point of view, but all relevant viewpoints as necessary.

Support your article with actual facts.

Use reliable sources.

Blocking is the method by which administrators can prevent certain users from editing the wiki. Blocks are used to prevent damage or disruption, not to punish users. Blocks are generally used as a deterrent, to discourage whatever behaviour led to the block and encourage a productive editing environment.

Any user may request another user to be blocked for major incidents of vandalism or disruption by reporting the incident to an admin. Users requesting blocks should give credible evidence of the circumstances warranting a block. Admins are never obliged to place a block and are free to investigate the situation themselves. Because blocks may be reviewed and appealed, it is often important that the blocking and reviewing admins each communicate with and take care to inform others.

Blocked users can appeal their blocks by making a statement on their talk page. Except in cases of unambiguous error, admins should not undo other admin's blocks without prior discussion.

Reasons Leading To A Block[]

User accounts and IP addresses may be blocked for:

  • Constantly making personal attacks
  • Constant vandalism
  • Constant incivility
  • Constant harassment
  • Constant spamming
  • Edit warring (especially with an admin without due cause)
  • Constantly violating the three principles
  • Accounts with inappropriate usernames
  • Repeated patreon spoilers
  • Mentions of pirate sites or other illegal sources

Durations for Blocking[]

Everyone besides blatant vandalism (e.g. removing page content for no reason) and pirates (please read and use official sources) gets a warning first. Although if you have been on the wiki for longer you should know better; this can also dictate the duration or whether you receive a warning though this is based on the particular admin's discretion.

  • Inserting abuse, blanking pages, patreon content, etc.
    • 1st offense = Warning
    • 2nd offense = 1 week block or more
    • 3rd offense = 3 months block or more
    • Further offense = 1 year block
  • Registered vandals:
    • 1st offense = Warning
    • 2nd offense = 2 week block to a 1 year
    • Further offense = Infinite block
  • Problem users (Personal attacks, Disruption, Disregarding policy):
    • Offense = Warning
    • 3 warnings = a 2 week block
    • 2 blocks = 3 month block
    • Further offense = Infinite block
  • Sockpuppeting or using multiple usernames for the same person:
    • 1st offense = variable, either long or infinite
