Seris is a Vritra-born human and a Scythe under the command of Agrona Vritra later rebelling against him. She is also the mentor to Caera and formerly uncertain but now certain ally to Arthur Leywin.
Seris incapacitated Uto during his fight with Arthur at Ashber Town, rendering him helpless with ease,[1] after Arthur struggled against him to the point of borderline defeat, indicating her immense power. She then offered a subdued Uto to him with the request that he claim victory over the Retainer.
Seris hides her denial in Agrona's plans, as she is very prudent and analytical. She is certain that Agrona will lead Alacrya into ruin with his plans of a war against Epheotus, and thus is secretly planning to go against him, to the extent of deceiving, and ultimately killing, Sovereign Orleath with a system she build under his command. Although she promises him that she has built exactly the system he requested, a shield generator, the system is in truth a powerful trap that can siphon and store enormous amounts of mana in a very short time. As of now she began her rebellion against Agrona to help Arthur to save Alacrya and Dicathen from the asuran war.
Appearance[]
Seris is said to have obsidian horns that glowed like precious stones, contrasting her pearl-colored hair that flowed past her narrow shoulders. Her appearance is of a girl that looked no older than Tessia during the events of Volume 6, possessing dark eyes and a thin frame [2].
During his second encounter, Arthur described Seris to have long hair that reflected the sun like liquid amethyst. Her skin had the quality of polished alabaster and her eyes were as piercing as her long black horns that spiraled up like an impala’s. [1]
Her lips were stained with purple paint fleckes with gold during the Victoriad, and her cheeks shone with silver stardust. On top of her head, dusky pearl hair grew in braids and curls, lying between two narrow, twisting horns. She was dressed in a war dress made of scales that twinkled like black diamonds and a fur-lined cloak that seemed to absorb light.
Personality[]
At first it appears she has an authortive, cold, crushing and intimidating presence amongst the soldiers and people of Alacrya also she is elegent, formal, stoic and polite even to her enemies. However that is not entirely the case as she has strong emotions under this exterior to those she cares about as evidenced by her care for Caera and smiled when she discovered Arthur Leywin survival in the relictombs. She is very empathetic as she calls out Aldir for the genocide he commited against innocent elves under Kezess's orders as she is shaken by the destruction of the Elven Kingdom and she sympathizes with what the Dicathens have been through becuase of Alacryans being pawns in the vritra and asuras conflict as she advises Caera to be patient with their hostility. She is fearleass as she refuses to shake in fear despite the gap of power between her and Aldir. Also She is analytical, cunning and prudent as she knows Agrona does not care about Alacrya and will burn it down to the ground to achieve his goal because of that she is secretly plotting against him als the world will burn to ashes if Kezess and Agrona continue their fight like that, However. Despite being analytical, cunning and prudent she is not above making mistakes as she underestimated Arthur's strength. She has a playful streak which comes out with those she is comfortable with as she enjoys teasing Caera for her Feelings or at least attachment to Arthur or when she teases Arthur to use his brain about plan what she has for him to draw attention for himself at the Victoriad.

Plot[]
In volume 5, She is first mentioned as a sycthe under Agrona's direct command to Arthur by Windsom and Arthur made her one of her targets to eliminate. In volume 6, She appears in the kingdom of Darv where the alacryans and dwarves bow to her because of her suffocating presence then a soldier asks her about the new sycthe to which she responds he is not ready because Melrzi and Viessa are still trainning him then she dismisses the soldier after she notices someone hiding but dismisses him and then marching away. Later she appears at Ashber town saving Arthur and Sylvie from Uto knocking with ease after Arthur struggled against him almost dying then she assures Arthur sylvie will live to Arthur's shock. After she snaps Uto's horns giving it to Arthur then advises him to get stonger fast to which he thanks her then she teases him naming him pecular boy the disappearing. She is later mentioned to Sylvie By Arthur after the battle's aftermath. In volume 7 Later she is mentioned by Cylrit as her retainer to Arthur before having their battle at the wall, Later she battles Mica beating her but spares her life then urging her to go help at eitsitin bay assuring her the curse will fade after a week. In volume 8 Later she is mentioned as the one who mentored Caera by Caera to Arthur when they were in the relic tombs. In volume 9 she meets Caera where they talk about a mysterious ascender called grey with an affinity to aether where she teases Caera about having feelings for him to Caera's annoyance then she figures out that grey is Arthur Leywin and smiles that he is still alive.
Relationships[]
Caera Denoir - Caera is of Blood Denoir and is Seris' student. Seris appears to care greatly for Caera's well-being, so much so that she advises her to not tell anyone about her Vritra-blood manifestation. She has a significant impact on Caera that Caera did not enjoy the glory of war with Dicathen knowing it is a self serving goal only to Agrona's selfish ends. Also she enjoys playfully teasing Caera for her feelings or at least attachment to Arthur much to Caera's annoyance and embarrassement.
Agrona Vritra - Seris is one of the Scythes and as such is under the direct command of Agrona. However she is secretly plotting against knowing he does not care about the world that he and kezess will burn it down to the ground to get what they want. After Arthur's Victory in the battle for Vildorial she takes this chance to rebell against Agrona to give Arthur some time to prepare for the final battle Against Agrona.
Arthur Leywin - She first saw him when he infiltrated the dwarven kingdom but let him escape. They officialy met when she saved him and Sylvie from the Retainer Uto snapping his horns and handing them to Arthur Much to his shock then she told him to get stronger for their sakes. Arthur asked for her name, to which she answered him, and then thanked her for her kindness. She only responded with a smile, naming him a 'peculiar boy'. He is presumed dead after his battle against Nico and Cadell however She discovers his survival at the relictombs from Caera and smiles that he is still alive and keeps tabs on him to ensure his safety and progress for her plans however she underestimates his growth and Aether abilities as she assumes he is only playing professor at central academy and relictombs with Caera. Later she meets him at victoriad and notes how much he changed, they have a casual conversation as she reminds of who he is and what is at stake to that end she asks him to challenge Cylrit to be her retainer then refuse the role to deliver a clear message to which he asks what he gain from that end she teases him to use his brain for what plan she has for him. He refuses but tells her he will send her message and teases her to use her brain to figure it out. Later back at the Victoriad Nico challenges Arthur and Arthur defeats him with one shot then he challenges cadell to her nervousness however she was astonished by his relic armor and display of his Aether power acknowledging her mistake in underestimating him then killing Cadell after that Agrona appears to capture Arthur and orders the sycthes to capture him to her nervousness but Agrona fails in a stunning outmaneuver as Arthur uses godstep to escape much to Agrona's astonisment and anger but much to Seris's amusement. Seris believes that he has the potential to rival both Kezess Indrath and Agrona Vritra.
Aldir: They are enemies since they are on opposing sides of the war. she has a conversation with him at the Destoyed Kingdom of Elenoir where she calls him out for the destruction he caused under the orders of Kezess Indrath and mocks him that he is just like Agrona to his fury but he regrets his words after seeing she is not afraid of him as she further calls him out for his lack of empathy. When he says that this is a war with two sides and everyone must choose a side, she responds him there is a third side that can rival both Agrona Vritra and Kezess Indrath then she informs him of Arthur Leywin survival at Alacrya and his new powers. Unbeknownst to Seris her conversation with Aldir is one of many factors that has now led him to rebel against kezess and it is possible if they meet again they might both forge an alliance with Arthur Leywin to take down both Agrona Vritra and Kezess Indrath for good.
Abilities[]
•Black Light: Seris can shoot a beam made of black light.
•Barrier: Seris can use a Protective Barrier that can mimic but also nullify enemy spells.
•Mana Sword: Using her mana sword, she can conjure multiple kinds of spells such as a Black Orb and a Black Arrow. She can also transform her Mana Sword into the "Many Tailed-Whip of Black Light" with purple fire on its Edge.
•Heat Resistance: She is immune to heat from the lava as shown when she threw herself to 'Snake-Magma of Tetra'.
•Cursed Mist: She can conjure mist that can detonate inside the person who inhales it. If they are in a specific place, the curse will fade after a week.
•Flight: She can fly
•Regeneration: Wounds are almost instantly healed when covered by black-purple flames.

In the Tapas version, when she first appeared in Chapter 160 in the Dwarf Cave, the closest soldier called her Lady Nezera[4]. This is changed to Lady Seris in the ebook version.
