Aldir is an Asuran General sent by Lord Kezess Indrath to guide the "lesser beings" of Dicathen to victory in the war against the continent of Alacrya and the Vritra Clan. He assists Dicathen in the war but was withdrawn after a failed assassination attempt on Agrona Vritra. After the war was lost, he alongside Windsom were ordered by Lord Indrath to destroy Elenoir with the Pantheons' World Eater Technique by Lord Kezess Indrath to prevent Agrona Vritra's plan of gaining possession of the reincarnate known as the Legacy through the body of Tessia Eralith.

But he was shaken by the destruction he caused after which he began to question Kezess' motives and intentions, especially after his conversation with Seris Vritra and his knowledge of Arthur Leywin's survival. Later Lord Indrath sent Windsom and Taci to wipe out the remainder of Dicathen's forces. After Taci's death at the hands of Arthur Leywin, Aldir decided to rebel against Kezess Indrath for his actions killed a young member of his clan and innocents notably the death of the Dijnn and the Elves and his disregard for the lives of the "lessers". He was then marked as an exile and a traitor by Lord Ademir per his request.

After his defection from Kezess's service he is sheltered by Mordain along with Wren Kain IV then he meets with Arthur Leywin. Aldir accepts all of Arthur's anger because of Elenoir's destruction but despite that Arthur is willing to give him a chance to make amends by helping Arthur in reviving Sylvie. He helps Arthur with entering the aether realm where he sacrifices his mana, giving it to Sylvie to help Arthur. He then gives Arthur his sword as a proof of his death, as an atonement for all the atrocities he did under Kezess's orders and dies peacefuly with a smile.

Appearance[]

Despite his age, he stood, poised, with his hands elegantly placed behind his straight back. Both of his eyes were closed, bringing further emphasis on a third, unblinking eye in his forehead that glowed a radiant purple.

Personality[]

He is a very calm and soft spoken asura who rarely resorts to intimidation and violence. He is empathetic as he is disgusted by Agrona's inhumane experiments against the people of Alacrya and he hates genocide as he was affected by the elven kingdom's destruction despite being the one who casted the world eater techinque as he values the life in general let it be Asuras or Lessers. Like many other Asurans, finds pride in being an Asura While still looking down on lessers, he does harbor respect for those who deserve it. Eventually allowing this characteristic to evolve into something greater than his loyalty for Lord Indrath. As he began to question kezess's corruption and selfishness as he spared the lances was ordered to kill and felt remorseful for Taci's death so as he decides to rebel against kezess.

Background[]

Relationships[]

  • Seris Vritra: They are enemies becuase she is a scythe under Agrona's command also Aldir considers her a halfbreed mutt. They have a conversation at the destroyed elven kingdom where she calls him out for the genocide he commited, To which he responds it was Agrona's mistake, she tells him that he sounds just like Agrona much to his anger but he regrets his words when she mocks him and calls him out for his lack of empathy also when he argues everyone must choose a side in the war she tells him there is a third side who can rival both Agrona and Kezess, when he asks her unnerved who is she talking about, She informs him of Arthur Leywin survival at Alacrya and he has developed new powers. Their conversation is one of the reasons that he has rebelled against kezess and unbeknownst to him she began her rebellion against Agrona. it is possible if they met again they might forge an alliance with Arthur Leywin to take down kezess and Agrona.
  • Taci: A fellow clan member he is very proud of him and see him very strong when Taci was ordered to wipe out the remainning elves he hoped that he would fail but was suprised when he was killed and felt remorseful for his death. Later learned from Windsom that Taci was killed by Arthur Leywin. Taci's death was one of the reasons that made him rebell against Kezess indrath.
  • Windsom: Aldir shares an old friendship with the dragon asura Windsom. However, their relation is intricate. If Aldir has the mind to not say it out loud, he do not agree with the way the Indrath Clan deals with threats. Windsom, him, is a loyal soldier and his faith toward Kezess Indrath does not allow him to have an idea over the asuras politic. Aldir compare their friendship with the one that had Kezess Indrath and Mordain. However when Aldir began to question Kezess Indrath orders when he was ordered to cast the world eater technique on the elven kingdom to which Aldir was shaken by the destructive aftermath and then was ordered to kill most of the lances but he spared them. Later Windsom confront him about his insubordination, Taci's death at the hands of Arthur and finally refusing to comply with Indrath orders. All of this factors lead to the destruction of their friendship and now are mutual enemies when Aldir was banished by his clan to protect them so he can rebell against Kezess and killed several Dragons.
  • Zelyna; She is a leviathan who has feelings for Aldir, maybe some kind of ex-concubine, we do not know much of how love story go in Epheotus.

Abilities & Skills[]

Mirage Walk : Mirage Walk is the Thyestes Clan's Secret Technique which allows the user to completely conceal his mana presence by balancing his output of mana from his core through his mana channels and his intake of mana from the atmosphere through his mana veins, effectively rendering him invisible to people and animals trying to sense him via mana fluctuations.

World Eater Technique: The World Eater technique allows the caster to channel an incredible amount of mana, compacting it until the individual particles began to burst, causing a chain reaction that would spread out to the atmospheric mana and continue until not a spark of the caster's own, purified mana was left, causing unparalleled devastation. The World Eater technique was used long ago, when the asura often warred with one another but is so powerful and devastating that it was forbidden to be used when the Great Eight formed, and was no longer taught, except for one student in each generation.

Sliverlight: It seems to be a long, thin rapier that is illuminated by moonlight and also has the ability to transform into different weapons.

Mana feedback: He can send mana into his opponent's bodies by touching them, overloading their senses, which knocks them out. He utilized this technique on Aya.

Flight: He is capable of flying

Quotes[]

  • (To Varay) "If my life were represented by a tapestry, yours would be but a single thread. And while your world may change suddenly, and often, like a hades serpent shedding its skin, mine remains as static as that same tapestry. Epheotus is like a place trapped in time, unchanging, unevolving."
  • (An inner thought while speaking to Seris) "My eyes flew open-all three of them-as my mind went back to the moments before i finished casting World Eater, when I felt an alien presence watching me, almost as if some greater deity-a true god-had arrived to witness my lowest moment and judge me by it. I hadn't known who it could have been at the time, but now.....Arthur Leywin"
  • (An inner thought just before fighting a dozen of dragons) "If they did not value their lives, then neither would I"
  • (An inner thought while thinking about his conversation with Seris) ''No, neither one of you is worthy of service in the end"
