Cannon Carry is a recurring team challenge that debuted in Survivor: Pearl Islands and that has reappeared internationally in Survivor South Africa: Panama.

Rules

Each tribe will transport a makeshift cannon across a series of obstacles in the jungle. The first tribe to carry their cannon across the finish line wins.

History

United States

The challenge appeared as the inaugural Immunity Challenge of Pearl Islands. One member of each tribe had to hold the tribe flag, another would hold a torch, and the other six members would transport the cannon, disassembling it where necessary to get it over the obstacles. Famously, Osten Taylor's shorts fell off, prompting his male tribemates on Morgan to pull off their shorts in solidarity. In the end, Drake's lead throughout the challenge allowed them to win and send Morgan to the season's first Tribal Council.

South Africa

In Survivor South Africa: Panama, the physically stronger Aguila tribe held the early lead. However, the Rana tribe used a better strategy in transporting their cannon, allowing them to win their first challenge, sending Aguila to Tribal Council.
