Treasure of the Sierra Harvey is the first segment of the 4th episode in season 2 of Harvey Street Kids. The title of the episode is a reference to the 1948 film Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
Synopsis[]
Tiny finds the toy treasure on Harvey Street. However, the power went to his head when trying to share them.
Plot[]
The episode begins with a locust monster named Langozilla (Melvin) attacking Harvey Street, whose attempt is repelled by the Horn-A-Corns (Audrey, Lotta and Dot), Little'lad (Tiny), Dollcretia (Lucretia) and Argyle Sock (Pinkeye), where it is revealed that all this time the kids were playing with action figures. However, Melvin accidentally destroys Little lad's figure while testing the claw of his figure. The girls propose to look for the pieces, but Melvin proposes a competition for who gets them all. Audrey finds its head, but Suze takes it away and Tiny complains about not being able to reach a piece while commenting that he will end in a 9 to 5 job, however he finds a map that catches his attention. At the HQ, the Harvey girls try to repair the toy using makeshift parts for its head and right arm, however Suze again takes the head away.
Tiny shows the girls the map of the legendary treasure trove of Harvey Street and Dot comments that there was a legend where the first generations of street kids buried their most horrible and dangerous toys, and concluding that it is a lie. Tiny insists that it exists since the map dates from 1986, and he has a vision where he sees himself showing off said old toys while using a Jetpack. After convincing them, they find the place of the treasure that was buried, and they find that it is accessed through a hatch. Tiny goes on saying that he is ready to enter since he had gotten stuck in his backpack at least 19 times. The Harvey girls are surprised to hear an unknown voice, but it was only him wearing a Baron Von Skull mask with a voice modulator and comments that he found more toys.
Lucretia, Melvin and Pinkeye arrive on the scene with Tiny presuming that they are from his treasure trove of toys. Everyone starts playing with toys and Melvin plays with an action figure named Toiletron. After Melvin refused to lend his toy back to Tiny, the latter uses the excuse that he has been playing too much with it, motivated by his repressive side in the form of the Baron Von Skull mask. Therefore, he sets a 10-minute rotation deadline system for the toys, and begins to abuse his new authority by taking a construction game from Lucretia despite the fact that her time is not up yet, and he exercises his authority using the mask's terrifying voice. He also runs off Frufru who was only seeing her cell phone in the surroundings. Returning with Melvin, who was only playing with a Nunchaku, he asks for a use license, but Melvin replies that the process to obtain it would take 6 months, and Tiny responds drive him away using the mask voice.
Lotta tries to convince him to stop being a tyrant, but Tiny responds saying that he was the one who found him. Although Lotta admits that he was right, she tells him that toys are not everything, but Tiny continues to think that she is trying to distract her from his treasure. Lucretia, for her part, finds a new mud puddle and everyone stops playing with Tiny's toys, therefore losing the power he had over the kids.
Tiny still has the idea to continue playing with the treasure, however, when he went to the vault to find more toys, he meets rats who threaten to kick him out. He tries to share as a last resort, but is useless and asks for help screaming. The Harvey girls assist him and try to help him out, however the rats wrestle his mask threatening to take it off. The mask, symbolizing his conscience, tells him to drop it giving priority to his friends, which he ends up doing. Melvin on the other hand, finds the missing pieces of Little'lad, all while using a superiority facade saying that he won the competition to find all the pieces. Tiny learns that all this time he just wanted his toy back and loses interest in the toy vault. The Harvey girls, knowing that all the toys are infected by the presence of the rats, decide to bury them back along with the map, as specified in their song.
