Harverado is the second segment of 12th episode in season 3 of Harvey Street Kids.
Synopsis[]
In a pretend western setting, Dot must stop The Stinko Banditos from taking over the city "Harvey Corners".
Plot[]
The episode begins in a western location, where Sues plays a harmonica and Billy rolls as a tumbleweed. Lucretia arrives on the scene as if she was pushed off camera, where she asks for help saying that there are problems in the town of "Harvey Corners". Sheriff Dot responds to the call saying that she eats trouble for breakfast and Lucretia tells her that her doll is stuck on the train tracks where one will pass soon to Harvuquerque. After approaching to the doll, Dot comes to her aid and with a rubber band thrown from her finger and fired like a pistol, she manages to free and move her. The Harvey girls and Richie cheer her on and Audrey uses a chewing gum elastic to ring the town' bell.
The Mayor T. Rich Richardson congratulates her along with mentioning that they are playing in a western town that Richie is renting as a way to complete his childhood tasks. Audrey tells her that they usually play with her imagination, but this is too perfect. On the scene comes the Foreman Thumbleweed Tiny apparently attacked by a gas bomb that is represented as green smoke surrounding him. The girls ask him what happened to him and why he smells so bad, where Tiny replies that he was ambushed by Los Stinko Banditos while searching for gold in the form of chocolate coins. He explains that they use homemade bombs called Glaveston Gas Globes, which are filled with gases made by them after eating smuggled beans. He also says that they left him alive as a warning to the girls and to tell them that they are going to take the town.
Richie says they can't gas bomb the city because its part of the rental contract, but Dot wants to take care of the matter. The girls enter the "Biting Boba" saloon. In the place, Lucretia plays the pianola singing a song; Frufru acts as a bartender; The Bow is a customer and Bobby is a snake oil salesman. Audrey suggests Dot uses the same stink bombs that the Stinkos do, but she and Lotta thinks otherwise. Dot launches a rubber band around to get the attention of the canteen and Lucretia while singing says that she wants to help, but nobody confides their secrets to her because she sings what they tell her in the canteen. Dot asks Frumont and The Bow but neither answers and ends up talking to the seller. Bobby offers her a brain polish, where its label comes off to reveal a kind of hot sauce. Dot asks if that bottle is related to the Banditos' smuggled beans.
When Bobby packed the suitcase pretending innocence, he dropped one of the cans blaming him. Seeing this, he drops the suitcase and runs out of the room, leaving a hole in the door with his shape. Dot shoots him with his rubber bands and Audrey suggests using the stink bomb. Dot refuses to use those barbaric techniques according to her and notices Bobby hiding under a bull skull where he comes out of hiding when Dot is pointing at him. Bobby tells her that he was negotiating with the Banditos by giving him enough beans to fill the Grand Canyon with gases along with saying that they were planning something huge, this consists of assaulting the ice cream train leaving behind the unpopular flavors.
On the train line, the girls meet the Banditos where they are introduced as Melvin the kid, Bruce Capety and Pinkos Bill. Dot confronts the boys, where she manages to remove the hats from the boys with rubber band shots, but eventually runs out of ammunition. The Banditos charge towards her and Dot manages to throw the stink bombs at them, however the ice cream train passes by and also was affected.
Lucretia and several kids ask for ice cream, but they are all affected by the gases, where the first one rejects them and the ice cream vendor withdraws. Dot tells them that it was she who made the shot to scamper the Banditos, and when Lucretia was going to ask her for more ice cream, Dot replies that there is no more. To which her people are angry with her saying that they will have to wait for the train tomorrow, with Lucretia denying that Dot made a mistake while crying. Richie and Lotta try to defend her while the kids take the game a bit too seriously by inciting a riot and Richie faints in character saying the fumes have affected him again. Dot due to this "dishonor" retreats from town to her home on Harvey Street, and goes to her room to play with Dap-O-Tron.
Lotta and Audrey arrive on horses (Cheesecake and Frufru's Party Pony) to see her, where she says that Bobby was named Sheriff and that he's letting the Banditos get away with threatening everyone by dropping their bombs, including Frufru and Lucretia who sings parodies of Crush 4 You against her will and Richie is desperate removing the gas odor produced by the bombs on their rented scenario. Dot returns and challenges the boys to a duel in front of the room, where Melvin plans to shoot her and Dot with his rubber band breaks the bomb, leaving Melvin stinked. The people praise her victory and Dot promises to continue protecting the people.
However, several aircraft claws assumed to be the stage's owners take the town away. So Richie invites them to do western things before they take everything. Bobby hides under the skull, Tiny finds oil and Dot exploits a can of the ones that Bobby was selling where said smell causes the viewer to see an end card that says "The end".
