Babies Day In is the second segment of the 4th episode in season 2 of Harvey Street Kids. The title of the episode is a reference to the 1994 film Baby's Day Out.
Synopsis[]
Lotta wants to keep some racoon cubs, but the situation changes when the parents of the last ones are present.
Plot[]
The episode begins with the Harvey Girls jumping down the hill on a completely frozen sledge, with which they go to take some parrots with them and Lotta stops them because there were raccoon babies on the way. Although Dot mentions that they are well cared, implying that their parents are near, Lotta takes them away with the objective of raising them by herself, although Audrey and Dot did not agree, a hungry hawk makes them change their minds and take the raccoons back to the HQ.
Lotta proceeds to name them, Sarah, Jessica, and Parker along with dressing the raccoons with her appearance. Lotta refuses to return them to the street after Audrey and Dot told them they are wild animals. Audrey proceeds to mark her territory by passing various objects from the barracks to her armpits, but she does not resist when one of the raccoons takes Dot's tablet. Lotta proceeds to show them pictures of cute animals; decorate a card for her pet Polly using stickers, and trains them how to go to the bathroom. However, the raccoons begin to steal Audrey's candies and cover Dot's scrapbook with stickers, extravagantly decorating Polly and dancing. Dot for her part asks them to leave, but Lotta says the hawk can still give them trouble.
At night, the baby raccoons' parents arrive and break the trailer' skylight, pestering Dot. Audrey distracts them by putting Dot and the raccoons in a sack while Lotta leaves the trailer saying to the babies don't be afraid. Lotta takes them to the dump attracted by the light of the horizon while telling them that they will be fine and singing a song to cheer them up. Parker gets scared and climbs a mountain of garbage, so Lotta goes for her. For her bad luck, the hawk appears again threatening to take them away, but the racoons' parents intervene and scamper him with Parker's bottle. After the hawk incident, the parents explain with noises that they were worried about them, Lotta apologizes and the babies say goodbye to Lotta, disappearing in the dark, but not before dedicating a song to her. Lotta for her part, is sad, but is encouraged after finding a loose chick whom she chases, with Audrey with Dot chasing her back.

- The characters Sarah, Jessica, and Parker are a reference to a famous actress, Sarah Jessica Parker.
- This episode introduces new baby raccoons that are different from the ones from "Raccoon Hoarder Picture Show". Although the previous three baby raccoons on the show were basically look-a-likes of the Harvey Girls while these three baby raccoons who debuted in this episode are regular looking raccoons.
