Something's Glotta Give is the first segment of the 10th episode in season 2 of Harvey Street Kids. The title of the episode is a reference to the 2003 film Something's Gotta Give.
Synopsis[]
Lucretia wants to know if Gerald was dedicating his song to Lotta.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Lotta leading the girls by the hand to see Gerald's band, with Lucretia behind prioritizing seeing the girls. On stage, Gerald comments that he will be performing a song for someone special and Lotta is anxious. Dot and Audrey, however, do not feel able to help her because they do not understand the concept of being attracted to someone, so Lucretia decides to intervene impulsively despite her doll telling her otherwise.
Lucretia goes with them, saying that Lotta is right that Gerald likes her because she ships them with a shirt under her dress proving that she does while ripping it. She also proceeds to explain the shipping concept while showing them, the couples she wants to make with the kids on the block. Lotta, having recognition from a university of her band for recognizing the lyrics of the music, asks Gerald to play the song. The song without directly saying who likes it, says to see him in the sunflower field while winking at Lotta, the last one however still mistrusts the others. Lucretia proceeds to explain that loves being a matchmaker because she wants to experience the feelings of those she wants to match.
When Audrey suggests asking Gerald directly, both girls laugh with Lucretia saying that it's crazy to ask him directly, so the latter plans to perform her usual technique of secretly spying on her targets. Audrey and Dot meanwhile want to learn about more about crushes, with Dot leading the way. They go for Bobby, who mistakes "Crushes" for "Crashes", giving them some misinformation.
Lucretia meanwhile, follows Gerald looking for some proof to verify her pairing, her first investigation is that she saw him eating carrots, which relates him to Lotta's pet rabbits, and it doesn't work for him since he spits it out saying that he still detests them. In the Eternal Mud Puddle, Lucretia submerged in it with a periscope and sees Gerald talking to Fredo saying something similar to Lotta, but it doesn't work since he was saying to Fredo that he liked his socks a lot. Later among the bushes, Lucretia sees Gerald kiss something, but is disappointed to see that he was drinking from a public drinking fountain.
Dollcretia tells her to stay away from the matter since she has not been successful and to worry more about herself, but Lucretia is obsessed with the matter and wants to see her shipping becoming true, so she responds by screaming. Later, she hides in Gerald's trash, to see who she was dedicating a poem to, she sees the name and discovers that it was hers, Lucretia is in denial about the matter and sets out to make Lotta more like her. At Lotta's house, she tries how to take the selfie and Lucretia lies to Lotta trying to convince her to dress like her.
As Lotta dislikes the idea to change her appearance for Gerald, Lucretia says that since she is her biggest fan, that does it for her since she knows what she is doing. Meanwhile, Audrey and Dot ask Zoe about crushes who supposedly has more experience, she for her part evades the question indirectly revealing to be as inexperienced as the others and ends up changing the subject thinking that one of them wants her crush Mike Yank as she pounces on the girls' camera.
In the sunflower field, Lotta goes with Lucretia, who is hiding in a bush with her appearance. When Lotta appears in those peculiar clothes, Gerald comments that she did not expect it, which offends her, and she runs away. Lucretia comes out and says that he should be loving Lotta, and he replies that he indeed is. When Lucretia asks him about the supposedly song dedicated to her, along with telling him that she is not interested. Gerald replies that said song was not love related and it was called "Why Lucretia is following me?".
After solving the matter, Lucretia tells him to be with her, so that she can see the selfies of both while she likes them in "RightNow-o-Gram" (an Instagram parody), and then regrets that her intervention ruined her own pairing. After some scolding from Gerald, he goes after Lotta, who last takes off Lucretia's clothes, leaving her regular clothes and taking the selfie. Lucretia feels good for not intervening and Dollcretia meanwhile screams for Gerald to hold Lotta's hand. The episode concludes with Dot and Audrey recording them with a camera and asking them what they will do now considering that they are a couple, to which neither has an answer.
