The Boy with the Dragon that Flew is the second segment of 7th episode in season 4 of Harvey Street Kids
Synopsis[]
Tiny gets a robotic dragon from Richie and uses it to do things he couldn't do before due to his short stature.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Tiny looking at a tree with various height marks, where he only reaches the minimum height that says "Tiny". Therefore, he becomes self-conscious and looks at a poster with a photo of a model with his cropped face on it, while doing stretches that according to a Doctor, will make him gain more height. Tiny is sighted by the hawk, where he holds him while he flies. Tiny tells him to hunt Melvin instead, but he ignores him. Next, the hawk uses it as a juggling ball to impress some parrots and all they mock Tiny. Lotta, who jumps from a trampoline, scares the hawk away and picks up Tiny. She asks when he will grow up, to which Lotta evades the issue, saying that having experienced both heights she says that it has its pros and cons, including hitting her head. Tiny says that it is difficult when his own name reminds him of his size, which is the same for Pinkeye and The Bow.
Suddenly, a mechanical dragon appears scaring both characters, only for Richie, Dot and Audrey to appear on the scene. With Richie explaining that it is a new invention, which he calls Bryce. This robot was originally planned to take aerial selfies, but was changed to act as a helper and to scare off Richie's goat when it misbehaves along with being given the ability to carry things and launch purple fire. Tiny touches it and the robot grows fond of him, and asks him to get on. Richie gives him permission to use it despite not having done flight tests with a passenger before, incidentally, it is revealed that he uses recycled code from robots from Crush 4 You, for which dances involuntarily at times. Ricky proposes Tiny to be his beta pilot, and he accepts riding the dragon.
He therefore decides to do everything he could not do, but before he decides to scamper the goat outside of Richie's sky mansion, after this he decides to go beyond the clouds. The scene is changed to the stage of the park, where some tertiary characters are watching a Little' lad movie, where above the seats Tiny is seen watching the movie too, while riding the dragon, where he is glad to be able to watch the movie without it being blocked. Later he sees non-fiction books in the upper part of the library, then he proceeds to take a photo with the kickball team since he did not appear in the previous one, however it does not come out again because he was on a greater height. Later, Tiny plans to go to a carnival where he implies that he could not enter due to his height, however the dragon involuntarily dances again. Tiny does not care about the matter and opens with the robot saying that he is somewhat insecure with his height.
Tiny proceeds to congratulate Richie on his invention, saying that every little boy should have one. Tiny is excited as he can finally be tall and Richie inspects the robot in case of doubt. After breaking a phone due to the number of errors in the dragon's programming, Richie realizes this and tells him that the dragon can reactivate its original boy band programming more often making it harmful, where Dot says that it could send someone to fly away to Harvey Avenue. Tiny feels bad about having to be short again and Richie tells him that it would take hours to repair it.
Lotta tries to advise him, but Tiny withdraws, implying that Lotta does not fully understand him at all because she grew up. He passes by the butter factory where he meets Todd and the hawk, where he is chased by him. Tiny passes by several street kids like Lucretia, Frufru and Pinkeye but none helps him, and he hides in a mailbox where Todd finds and tells him that the hawk is watching him. Tiny goes to the sky mansion for Bryce, but Richie went on adventures with the girls, leaving a message. In that message, however, he told his potential guests that they could use EVERYTHING on the ship without restrictions.
Tiny, without waiting for 10 minutes, asks the dragon for help in taking revenge on the hawk, so he disconnects it and does not care about the boy band glitch. Tiny manifests next to the hawk, begins to chase him, regains control of the dragon during a bug, throws purple fire at him, and holds him to humiliate him in front of the parrots. However, during phase two of his revenge, the robot loses control and dances, where all three are stuck in a chimney of the butter factory. Also, the dragon cannot fly because its wings were wet with butter.
Tiny therefore claims to have learned his lesson about obsessing over his short stature. When everything seems lost, Richie appears from his sky mansion and manages to rescue the trio. He mentions that the dragon sent a distress signal for his rescue, and incidentally gives a gift to one of his Dap-O-Trons for his anniversary. Tiny tells the group that he learned his lesson about his size; and the hawk for his part apologizes and tells him that he was bothering him because he was unsure about the shape of his beak, where both apologize and hug. Next, both Tiny, the dragon and the hawk are seen flying together. For some unknown reason, the song Diggin' It from the episode "Treasure of the Sierra Harvey" can be heard in the credits.
