Skull & Bows is the first segment of the 7th episode in season 3 of Harvey Street Kids.
Synopsis[]
Audrey investigates The Bow to prove a theory she has about her.
Argument[]
The episode begins with the Harvey Girls and Ricky eating an ice cream from the ice cream vendor, while he leaves off camera. Ricky found it strange to see The Bow float and destroy ice cream with her mind and moving a wheelbarrow full of garbage bags while using her bow as a propeller. All that happens while the girls talk about the new flavor of ice cream, the gumdrops. Ricky breaks up the conversation by saying he finds it quite unusual.
Audrey, while taking off her pigtails, says that she has a theory that she is a government-created genetic experiment that protects the street from paranormal threats and that what Ricky said about the bottle trick is the final key to this puzzle. Audrey says that since she is quiet, that the block is a paradise for children, that cannot use lamps, and that she can do the bottle trick, all this forms a bow. Dot comments that everything she does can be explained along with that, Audrey has a bad reputation for making crazy theories like when she said that Lucretia's hair tie allowed her to read minds, that Melvin was from the year 2082 and wanted to cause the fartcalpse or that Joel is nothing more than Tiny in a costume. For her part, Audrey decides to look for evidence that proves she is correct.
So she goes to the park following The Bow, and sees her with a bucket of yellow liquid that he pours onto a couple of dishes for her and Billy to drink, which was soup. As she said she was going to play a board game, her bow clinks saying she needs to "take the garbage", which was actually does throwing away some trash in her front yard. Dot finds Audrey digging through the trash while saying she has videos explaining all of The Bow's actions. Saying that when she flies, she has motorized balloons inside her bow, with Audrey saying she doesn't believe it.
In the park, The Bow is sitting on the top part of a seesaw, while Audrey watches over her, drinking some boba of a cup. After a time, The Bow proceeds to lower the handle of the seesaw, opening a hatch, where it rises back to the surface. Going down, Audrey discovers an underground base where The Bow has a huge screen, cabinets and plans as if she was relating some events together, along with having several stuffed animals held with liquid tubes. Where on the screen, she sees numerous photos of monsters (A Ghost Yeti, monster mustaches and zombie sharks), with some of them in the park.
The Bow surprises her saying that she has discovered her secrets, with Audrey having no idea what is happening and asking. The Bow tells her that Harvey Street is located in a dimensional intersection of the most dangerous dimensions, making it the target of dangers such as vampire skeletons and shadow people. So a government agency built her to defend the street, saying that while she was not making cameos on their adventures, she is fighting horrible things that the kids should not know. The Bow proceeds to erase his memory with a beet-root shaped pistol considering everything she has seen. Audrey convinces her not to do it, which is convenient for her because she could use some extra time to make canapes.
The Bow proceeds to test her and tells her that the lake is home to invisible lizard people who must be fed, so she asks her to pour a bucket full of kebabs. They then proceed to distract the masses by saying that she put a false memory to the block about Fredo having three buttocks so Audrey disguises herself as him and her attempt at distraction works. Her third mission is to massage her bows.
Audrey runs into the kids showing her photos, but Dot doesn't believe her saying the photo can be altered. Dot proceeds to say that when The Bow divided her eye, it was just a mirror. For Audrey, only one task is missing, which is to execute "Project X", which consists of destroying the ice cream from the ice cream vendor because he is the mastermind wanting to control the kids with his ice creams full of nanobots, which will make them launch like rockets to an unknown point.
The Bow distracts him by making a large, specific, large order as Audrey emerges from a mailbox, wondering if she should melt the ice cream. After a scene where she doubts her mission and only did it to show off to the girls saying she had the truth. Audrey gives up and tells The Bow that everything she does is crazy, with the last one admitting that everything was false. The Bow wanted to do it as a way of saying that conspiracies can be dangerous and that she had free time to do it. Audrey ends up agreeing with Dot, with the last one implying that many like to imagine great things happens in the everyday life, and that she managed to know how The Bow changes shape.
The episode concludes with The Bow putting on an astronaut helmet and asking Billy if he can help her keep an eye on the true moon, implying that there are two possibilities. All the missions Audrey did for The Bow were real all along, or The Bow gave her false missions while at the same time had a secret agenda that did not want to share with Audrey. In an interview with Brendan and Aliki, it can be said that The Bow being related to a government agency is false[1].
