Dollcretia Turtlebottom the Third[2] is a minor character from "Harvey Girls Forever!", it's a sentinent doll owned by Lucretia.
About[]
Appearance[]
Is a handmade cotton stuffed rag doll whose appearance is a more simplified version of its owner Lucretia. The difference with her is that her head is oval shaped; she has black button eyes without holes with white lines simulating brightness; lacks of the black bicycle shorts, Mary-Jane shoes and ears; along with that her long-sleeved shirt is part of her arm instead of being an accessory.
Some episodes like Something's Glotta Give, The Puppets Take Meanhattan and Harvey Endings, strongly imply that Dollcretia is alive, being able to carry out movements or actions that would be impossible for her owner to recreate on her own. It is important to mention that Dollcretia never speaks to the other kids excepting her owner.
Personality[]
Dollcretia generally acts as Lucretia's superego giving her advice on what to do in a given situation. Lucretia knowing this does the opposite to her advice revealing signs of stubbornness. An example of this is when she gave Lucretia advice that she should care more about herself, where the latter ignores her, with the excuse that she wants to ship Lotta and Gerald.
Only on one occasion she and Lucretia changed roles, this happened because Dollcretia wanted to participate in the Patty Pupé's tour and denied that the last one had a toxic personality in order to gain fame for associating with the influencer. On numerous occasions she pressures Lucretia to don't ruin her according to her perspective and she also slapped her on one occasion.
It is noteworthy to mention that Dollcretia missed numerous Patty's incidents in order to achieve her goal, such as when the last one: destroyed the Pinkeye's trombone; almost ran over her owner and her friends with her camper; when she popped Billy's balloon; when she passed over Bobby; when she step on her during the picnic scene; and when mistreated her puppets.
Dollcretia as an avatar of her owner[]
The fact that Dollcretia has a similar appearance and characteristics to her owner, has her own doll, that she goes to therapy and her love for shipping, represents how Lucretia sees herself. This is most evident when she was about to get rid of her doll when she thought it would be left behind by the street kids if they were all running away from the alleged thief entity.
History[]
Before having Dollcretia, Lucretia at the age of four used a little bright green blanket which she referred to as "Blanketcretia", with which she interacted in the same way as she currently does with her doll
In an undetermined time, Lucretia would get rid of the blanket saying that she was already big enough for her, to later replace it with her actual doll. Given the subsequent events in "The Future Is Frufru", Lucretia appears to have no knowledge in repairing her, and just runs around in circles simulating an ambulance's siren. So it is assumed that she did not make the doll.
Dollcretia was officialy introduced in the series at the beginning of the episode "Girls Just Wanna Save Fun" where Lucretia was giving her a hairstyle similar to her.
In "Clinging in the Rain", Dollcretia acts as Lucretia's conscience for the first time in the series, the latter however ignores her advice, and hides her secrets such as "Plan B" that she carried out along with The Bow and initially blamed her when Lucretia pretended there was rain. In "Pretty in Pinkeye", Dollcretia also has her own doll when Lucretia asks Pinkeye for an autograph, after it improved her appearance.
In "The Monsters Are Due on Harvey Street", Lucretia was wondering which of the kids they could leave behind after the theft of the founder's statue arm as she checked the dolls of her and the Harvey Girls. Later Lucretia tried to get rid of her doll while having a distressed expression, however the Harvey girls call to the block causes her to stop such action.
According to Lucretia in "Dottle Rocket", she takes swimming lessons. In "Treasure of the Sierra Harvey", Dollcretia is used as part of a toy group that confronts Melvin's lobster toy. In "The Lice Storm", Lucretia recreats a couples therapy with her doll.
Assuming that Zoe's lost ticket provided Lucretia an adjoining seat to the Harvey girls, it is possible that in the episode "I Wanna Crush Your Hand" she managed on her own to get that ticket and a cupcake for Lucretia, who was having a birthday.
In "10 Things I Hate About Ew" she has a beatnik outfit while Lucretia philosophizes about what it is to be a doll. In "Something's Glotta Give", Dollcretia again appears giving Lucretia advice about thinking about herself, which the latter ignores. Lucretia also blames her for making her irresistible to Gerald, since she believes he dedicated a song to her. In "Can't Harvey Wait", Dollcretia has headphones when Lucretia is on her radio show.
In "Bad Lot-Tenant", Lucretia while in character, drops her doll twice non-consecutively while leaving terrified. In "Jet Fretters", Lucretia comments that her doll has her own apartment and that she is probably a Swiss spy. She also leaves her at the mercy of a baby raccoon who had intentions of damaging her, in order to go find some cosplay horns and thus according to her regain the friendship of the Harvey Girls in front to Richie Rich.
In "The Puppets Take Meanhattan", Dollcretia pressuring Lucretia not to tell the street kids that Patty Pupé has a bad character and is inconsiderate, in order to gain fame associating with the influencer.
In "The Future is Frufru", Frufru tells Lucretia that Dollcretia can do both dancer and comedian careers as part of her clairvoyant façade. However later in the episode, Dollcretia has an accident where her lock of hair and her left arm were ripped off, where she apparently fell on something sharp.
