Trey Welsh is a main character appearing in Grand Theft Auto 2.
History[]
Background[]
He is the boss of the Zaibatsu Corporation in the Downtown District of Anywhere City.
His wife of five years is Petula Shoe. His police file claims that he is talented at illegal street racing, injecting people with drugs without them knowing or consenting to it, and kidnapping. The police file also states that his excessive use of untested drugs has turned him into a "Dr. Jekyll style guinea pig". He is also known as "The Chemist", "Schizo" and "Speed".

Green Phone Jobs[]
Welsh initially employs Claude Speed (whom he refers to as "Gecko") to stop an informant selling stories to the police, and deliver brand new Zaibatsu drugs to four dealers around the city.
Yellow Phone Jobs[]
After earning more respect from the Zaibatsu Corporation, Claude is hired once again by Trey to blow up a Loonies controlled building in Fruitbat after the gang tried to interfere with Zaibatsu business. Later, Trey hires Claude to kill the boss of the Yutes gang after he crushed the Zaibatsu cars for scrap. Trey also hires Claude to rob a bank to get money and pay a cop. However, he kept the money for himself, as he sent his associate Rollo Tomassi to give Claude a briefcase with a bomb instead of money for him to pay-off the cop.
Red Phone Jobs[]
Eventually, Zaibatsu biologist Doctor Cubana is kidnapped by Johnny Zoo's Yakuza gang, and Trey hires Claude to find and kill Cubana while he's being tortured by Yakuza inside an armored Yakuza Miara before he gives any secret information on the Zaibatsu. Also, Trey hires Claude to steal used bank notes from a G4 Bank Van for his contraband drug operation.
Death[]
Unbeknownst to Trey, Claude has been working behind his back this whole time, as he was hired by Yakuza boss Johnny Zoo and the Loony boss Elmo. While working for the Yakuza, Claude stopped Trey Welsh's planned hit on Doctor ZitZaki, and later started a large-scale gang war between the Yakuza and the Zaibatsu under orders of Elmo.
In addition, Claude was also killing Trey Welsh's Z-Men to gain respect from the Yakuza and get more jobs from Johnny Zoo.
Eventually, Trey realizes he and his Zaibatsu gang were being manipulated by Claude the whole time, and goes after him. Meanwhile, Elmo and Johnny Zoo also find out they are being played by Claude and also go hunting for him. Shortly after, all three bosses track down Claude around the Downtown District.
Trey arrives in a Z-Type with some of his Z-Men and armed with a S-Uzi Machine Gun, but is ultimately killed by either Claude Speed in self defense or by his rival gang bosses.
Shortly after his death, Red Valdez replaced him as the new Zaibatsu Corporation boss.
