Uno Carbine, better known as Uno Carb, is a main character appearing in Grand Theft Auto 2.
History[]
Background[]
He is the boss of the Zaibatsu Corporation, replacing the former Zaibatsu boss Red Valdez after his death. Carbine has a heroin addiction, which he pays for by selling cutting edge weaponry from Zaibatsu. He has a relationship with Ulrika Afrique, but enjoys sleeping with high-class call girls. He is also known as "One Gun", "The Man With No Name" and "Santa Claus".
Events of Grand Theft Auto 2[]
Green Phone Jobs[]
Carbine first employs Claude Speed (whom he refers to as "Gecko") to kill three rival key operatives by using a booby trapped Rocket Launcher, using poisoned hot dogs and luring to a rival gang turf, respectively. Also, he is hired to steal a few cars to be delivered to a garage at the Zaibatsu Power Cores.
Yellow Phone Jobs[]
After earning enough respect from the Zaibatsu, Carbine hires Claude to steal a Box Truck full of contraband reactor fuel from the Russian Mafia, retrieve some stolen Zaibatsu artificial intelligence units from the Russians and start a gang war between the Russians and the Krishna.
Red Phone Jobs[]
Eventually, he asks Claude to get attention from the authorities and steal a SWAT Van, a Special Agent Car and a Tank, and deliver them to Uno Carb's garage. However, the Tank was booby trapped, and Claude is hired to invade the Army Base in Narayana and find another Tank to steal.
Death[]
Unbeknownst to Carbine, Claude has been working behind his back the whole time, as he was hired by Hare Krishna boss Sunbeam and the Russian Mafia boss Jerkov. While working for the Krishna, Claude attacked the Zaibatsu Construction Yard and the DeCon Labs, and rescued some kidnapped Krishna locked at the Zaibatsu Power Plant under orders of Sunbeam. While working for the Russian Mafia, Claude kidnapped and drowned five Zaibatsu drug dealers, destroyed three Zaibatsu Tanks and rescued a group of Russian gangsters from the Zaibatsu Power Cores under orders of Jerkov.
In addition, Claude was also killing Uno Carb's Z-Men to gain respect from the Russian Mafia and get more jobs from Jerkov.
Eventually, Jerkov realizes he and his Zaibatsu gang were being manipulated by Claude the whole time, and goes after him. Meanwhile, Sunbeam and Jerkov also find out they are being played by Claude and also go hunting for him. Shortly after, all three bosses track down Claude around the Industrial District.
Uno Carb arrives in a Z-Type with some of his Z-Men and armed with a Rocket Launcher, but is ultimately killed by either Claude Speed in self-defense before leaving town or by his rival gang bosses.
