Teriyaki-chan (Japanese: テリヤキちゃん) is the Japanese DJ of Funami FM in the Downtown District of Anywhere City in Grand Theft Auto 2. She is voiced by Saiko Yoshida.
Description[]
She plays acid-type drum and bass electronic music. She is likely a member of the Yakuza, and comes across as a frantically screaming Japanese girl (in a varied high-pitch voice) whose speech is oftentimes unintelligible. She speaks primarily in Japanese, apart from a few phrases in English.
As stated by Teriyaki-chan at the end of Ido's "Ball Blaster", she does not like the song, even going as far to call it "crap". She then reiterates by saying that it only played because the computer had selected the song for her, and that it wouldn't allow her to change it. Afterwards, she does seem to express a fondness for "O2N", a song by 4 How Much 4.
Her name is in reference to the food item "Teriyaki" (照り焼き), a Japanese meat dish, and she's often referred to with "-chan" (ちゃん), a diminutive.
