Summary[]
Sein arrives in Eiseberg and asks around for Gorilla's whereabouts. He heals Wehrlos's fatally injured cat, and upon appearing to recognize the name Gorilla, Wehrlos offers to take Sein to Wolf's bar to ask about Gorilla, but Schritt denies them entry, communicating to Wehrlos at the same time that something is going on. In the meantime, Lore begins to track Frieren using the Goddess's Magic. Wolf, with her guidance, shoots at Frieren from afar, though Stark manages to take the shot for her. Sein detects Frieren's mana signal and leaves Wehrlos to seek the party out, just as Stark collapses from the poison.
Plot Details[]
Sein heals the cat.
Clematis finds Wehrlos holding a wounded cat, and he advises the dwarf to let it go as it cannot be saved. After Clematis leaves, Sein approaches Wehrlos and heals the cat after a brief conversation with him. As thanks, Wehrlos offers Sein some alcohol, but Sein declines and instead requests for information on an individual who calls himself Gorilla Warrior. Wehrlos stares at the picture of Gorilla in Sein's pendant and tells him he has never heard of him, however, he knows a bar where he can find information. On the way, Wehrlos asks Sein about the motive behind his search, and Sein tells him about his childhood dream to become adventurers together with Gorilla. Wehrlos asks what Gorilla's real name was, and Sein replies that he does not know, which makes Wehrlos chuckle at the unexpected response.

At a bar, Schritt sits outside while Wolf, Lore, and Gazelle prepare for battle as Lore traces the coins back to Frieren. Frieren notices this, and she, Fern, and Stark realize they are about to be attacked. Stark manages to push Frieren away, putting him in the path of an arrow. They take cover as Stark removes the arrow. Wolf, the archer, praises Stark for reacting to the attack, however, he laments that his talent as a warrior is being wasted.

Frieren determines that the arrow came from a steeple far in the distance and commends the shot. Fern asks to shoot back at the archer, but Frieren reminds her that mana detection cannot extend to such a distance, making an accurate shot nearly impossible and especially dangerous in the city. Frieren reasons that the archer may have escaped already, and given the attack occurred as soon as the magic was traced back to her, their enemy likely planned it ahead of time. She tells them they should flee outside the range of mana detection. As they escape, Frieren purposefully lets off a small amount of mana.
Sein detects Frieren's presence.
Wehrlos leads Sein to the bar where Schritt is and tells her to move so they can enter. However, Schritt tells him the bar is closed for business, conveying to Wehrlos that something is going on, and Wehrlos relents and decides to find another place. As they continue walking through the city, Sein detects Frieren's mana and excuses himself, bidding farewell to Wehrlos.
Wolf asks Lore to find a spot to target Frieren's Party, but Lore replies that they figured out where he shot from and purposefully fled to an area out of his line of sight. As Frieren's party escapes, Fern asks Frieren if her mana could easily be traced back to her. Frieren replies that it isn't easy with human magic, but she recognizes the spell as one that can be casted by those who use the Goddess's magic.
Stark collapses from the poisoned arrow.
Lore tells Wolf that Frieren's party will eventually have to emerge within sight and that Wolf should be able to shoot them even among a crowd of people. Wolf acknowledges this but expresses concern about the warrior, and Lore reminds him that the warrior was taken care of already. Back in the alley, Stark suddenly collapses while running. Frieren and Fern check on him, and Frieren realizes that Stark has been poisoned.
