Plot Details[]
After Frieren defeats Zart, the Hero Party camps out together on the cliffside. Himmel asks Frieren to explain herself. Frieren then tells the party the truth that she came from the future over eighty years from now. After seeing how strangely she was behaving and her feats from the fight with Zart, the Hero Party believe Frieren readily. The next day, as they continue to travel, the Hero Party all discuss how strange it is to imagine a Frieren eighty years from now. Heiter comments to Himmel that they'll probably be dead by then, and Frieren agrees with a bittersweet expression. Heiter then asks Frieren whether or not they were able to defeat the Demon King. While Himmel attempts to divert the conversation, Heiter somberly asks whether or not their party managed to leave any mark on history at all. Frieren is unable to answer the question, but Himmel reaffirms that they are the Party of Heroes, so no matter how it turns out, they'll keep fighting.
The party then begin to discuss how to return Frieren to the future. Frieren tells them she has no clue, as she already tried touching the Monument of the Goddess again and nothing happened. Heiter seems unsurprised, as it is the magic of the Goddess and who knows what other forces are at work. The party then decide that they will spend time to look for a way to return Frieren to the future.
Himmel decides they will head to the nearest town where the Mages' Guild and the Church are located. They travel through the Kino Pass to the town, but their explorations prove unsuccessful, and they eventually are derailed by Heiter's daydrinking. Seeing the time they are spending to chase fruitless leads for her, Frieren apologizes for dragging them into the mess. Himmel brushes off her apology, as in his opinion the bigger the challenge the better, and Frieren is briefly surprised as she'd forgotten about this facet of Himmel.
The party then decide to gather information in the tavern at night. While they don't end up finding any information, Heiter drinks an exorbitant amount with the locals, and Himmel ends up taking on an escort mission for a merchant, reaffirming Eisen's point that he loves detours.
