the thing is, aesthetically and structurally, this is everything i want from the start of a MK series. idk about Cole but whatever. and the character designs are awesome! the bad cgi doesn't even take away. i loved so many little characters get love. can't wait for bi han saibot arc. but the fighting... the entire POINT mortal kombat EXISTS both in and out of universe is the fighting. and it's the weakest part! it sucks! it's poorly edited and poorly choreographed. the acting is whatever (sorry but the girl playing sonya is so bad) but you could at least make the FIGHTING INTERESTING

the conclusion! it was very interesting to see this resolution, having only seen the true ending of Dune in Villeneuve's (which isn't the true ending at all!) so I finally got to see how Dune proper was supposed to go, and i thought it was done very okay! i like that this show leans into the space opera ness of the story (thats scifi channel for you) and how Villeneuve's really tries to ground it in intrigue. fun stuff!
