  Siendo hija de una de los sobrevivientes esta película es maravillosa, muestra muy bien lo que sucedió en la montaña. Algo que me fascina es que el foco no está en los sobrevivientes si no en los que no volvieron, esta película es muy significativa, no es como “viven” y eso es lo que lo hace una buena película, dejo de lado lo que conocemos y nos mostró aquello que quedó olvidado.

  Beautiful, horrifying, devastating and haunting. Very difficult to watch, but worth it for so many reasons. J.A. Bayona delivers a film that I won't soon forget. While some of the larger set pieces (the plane crash, the avalanches) are technically astounding, it's the raw humanity of the writing and performances that shine through the most. I'm frankly amazed I haven't heard more chatter about awards for this, as I think it's absolutely one of the best films from 2023, hands down.

  Something of a pity that a film this grand in scope and so cinematic is relegated to Netflix; this deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible.

  Es evidente que mi opinión sobre la película va a estar muy sesgada ya que soy sobrino de un sobreviviente (Gustavo Zerbino) cuya historia conozco de arriba a abajo, pero voy a intentar ser lo más objetivo posible. Primero que nada quiero destacar la oportunidad que tuve de poder verla con las familias de los sobrevivientes y de las víctimas, así como con el mismísimo Bayona quien es el responsable de la que, voy adelantando, fue la mejor adaptación de esta historia en la pantalla grande.

  My entire audience was dead silent through the credits of Society of the Snow, no one daring to so much as exhale and disturb the shock and stillness that had come over us during this film. I think this is the best man vs. nature/survival biopic I’ve ever seen, and certainly now the definitive telling of this story. Narratively it’s not anything entirely new, I wouldn’t imagine it playing out as well on a rewatch (or on Netflix sadly, see it in theaters if you can!), but J. A.
