Episode 44 is the forty-fourth chapter of Hooky, created by Míriam Bonastre Tur. It is the twenty-fifth episode of the Witches' Sabbath Arc.
Summary[]
Dorian asks Monica what’s wrong, as she struggles to regain composure after stopping Dorian from his attacks. He claims he was acting in self-defense - with Monica asking who he would be defending himself from; since he has decimated anyone who approached him. Dorian, panicking over the damage he’s caused and how he lost control trying to protect Dani, realizes he hasn’t helped her, and she’s still unconscious. Monica tells Dorian to cast a healing spell, but says he doesn’t know any yet. She asks if Dorian still has a broom, which he explains was destroyed in the fight. With no other options, Monica and Dorian begin to carry Dani on foot.
They don’t get too far - as a van driven by the Blue-haired witch and her friends carrying Nico appear. Nico runs over to help carry Dani, with Monica stating she can do it herself. Nico pleads to her that he needs to be useful, and she concedes and begins chasing down Dorian, wanting to carry him instead. The Blue-haired witch tells them to hurry up, as they are still being chased by witches.
The witch tells her blonde friend to let her drive so that he can heal Dani. They state Dani will be fine, and the blue-haired witch asks where she should drive to. Monica says to drive to her castle, with Dorian and Nico questions why they wouldn’t go to Pendragon. Monica quietly reminds Nico of Pendragon’s prophecy, and also claims that she’s sure William will be back at the castle too - as she knows he escaped and must be on his way home, which causes Dorian to quietly panic. Dani laughs at them, and the four embrace.
Dorian then says that since Dani is okay, they should drop him off so he can go look for his dragon (to Nico’s confusion) and his parents. Monica objects, and Nico calls him out for always trying to act like a hero, prompting Dani to try and stop Nico. Nico then calls out Dani out as well, as she also left him and Monica alone in the woods, leaving them to fear for the worse. Nico then claims that Dorian thinks he’s better than the rest of them since he can do magic, despite him and Monica saving him. Before he can say anything more about Dorian’s parents, Monica stops him. She says she knows what it’s like to do stupid things for the ones you love - but agrees that Dorian has no reason to leave since she saw his parents and knows they’re okay, and that she’ll explain everything eventually; but for now he needs to trust her. Dani and Dorian, relieved to know their parents are okay, trust Monica.
As Monica mulls over if what she did was right, the kids have some questionable pizza offered by the Blue-haired witch, whose name is revealed to be Alex.
