The Floating Rock was a flying fortress run by witches that served as a prison.
Appearance[]
The Floating Rock appeared as a medieval fortress built over a huge flying rock. The front of the building had nine windows and a big wooden door, which served as the main entrance. It also had two corner towers, from which departed a round bastion. Inside the bastion, there were two more square-shaped towers. Beside the main building, there was a second, smaller floating rock which had another tower built on it. All the buildings' rooftops had crenellated parapets.
Beyond the main building's wooden door, there was the fortress' main hall, which was composed of three aisles: a big central one, and two smaller on the sides, separated from each other by arcades.[1] Under one of the aisles, there were a couple of fireplaces where the witches working in the prison used to put dragon's eggs to keep them warm. Somewhere inside the building, there were stairs that lead to the dungeons, where some of the most dangerous prisoners were kept.
On the rock which supported the prison, there were several secondary entrances which lead, through long corridors, to a huge hall. A side staircase that gave to the hall through a colonnade led up to the prison's dungeons. Another passage led to a restricted area where the wizard in charge of the prison kept and trained the dragons after they hatched.

Trivia[]
- It may have taken its name from the floating rock it is built on or by the fact the flying fortress is made of rock itself.
