Reginald W. Gibson is a federal judge serving on senior status for the United States Court of Federal Claims. He joined the court in 1982 after being nominated by President Ronald Reagan. Gibson is inactive.[1]

Early life and education

Gibson earned a B.S. from Virginia Union University in 1962. He went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance for two years and then earned an LL.B. Howard University School of Law in 1956.[1]

Military service

From 1946-1947 Gibson served in the United States Army.[1]

Professional career

  • 1971-1982: Senior Tax Attorney, and later General Tax Attorney, International Harvester Co.
  • 1961-1971: Trial Attorney, Tax Division, Criminal Section United States Department of Justice
  • 1957-1961: IRS Agent, U. S. Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service[1]

Judicial career

Federal Claims

Gibson was nominated to the United States Court of Federal Claims by President Ronald Reagan on December 10, 1982. Gibson was confirmed by the U.S. Senate and entered duty on December 15, 1982. He retired on August 15, 1995 and assumed senior status. Gibson is inactive.[1]
