David Aldrich Nelson (1932-2010) was a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.

Nelson was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on September 9, 1985, to a new seat created by 98 Stat. 333; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 16, 1985, and received commission the next day. He assumed senior status on October 1, 1999 and served the court in that capacity until his death on October 1, 2010.
