"Sometimes I let matches burn down to my fingertips just to feel something, anything."
Pros:
- I think this is the movie that captured who Spider-Man is the best.
- The animation is absolutely gorgeous and unique. I loved that it has the little dots that old comics did. The action is fun and wonderful.
- This has a great balance of fun adventure and humor while not undercutting the stakes and serious moments.
- I really liked that they didn't make Kingpin just a bad guy. His motivation is relatable. And Prowler looked great.
- The meta-humor was great and seeing Phil Lord was the writer made so much sense.
- The voice cast was perfect. I never would have pictured Jake Johnson as Spider-Man would work but damn, it does. And Nicholas Cage stole every moment he was in.
- Spider-Gwen!
- The after credits scene gives a great promise of things to come. I was happy to see the character that I was hoping for in the movie in that promise for more.
Con:
- Not a damn thing
