Capeshit. I used to hate that term. I felt like all it did was belittle the hard work put into many comicbook films and series. Though, I learned to embrace it, I love the term now. I really love capeshit, even some of the cheesy or bad stuff. Marvel & DC have always been a large part of my life, comic books & films brought superheroes to life for me & it’s something I needed at a young age. Stan Lee himself was a large part of my inspiration and imagination.
I couldn’t possibly pass up the opportunity to see Miles Morales on the big screen in 2018. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is such a beautiful, creative, stunning, master work of art. It’s the standard for animated capeshit. I bawled like a baby when I saw Stan Lee’s cameo in the film. Then, proceeded to cry even harder in the comfort of my own home, alone while rewatching it months later. This film is very moving & I can’t express how much it means to me.
