Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

“The strong script, inspirational characters, full-hearted story, and rapturous animation make us feel like Spiderman Into the Spider-Verse is ripped directly from the pages of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. It's a Spiderman movie we deserve it's a colorful and adventurous cinematic experience that invites viewers along for an impressive and must-watch ride.”

Near perfection is what Sony’s recent animated movie Spiderman Into The SpiderVerse is. It’s a refreshing take on the iconic character, reinvigorating superhero genre as well as the animated movies with its new and mind-blowing animation style. Into The SpiderVerse follows many different Spiderman from different universes, mainly it's about Miles Morales, a young African-American kid who is stung by a radioactive spider that provides Miles spider-powers and some more, however, Miles uses his newly gained powers to help his spidey-friends from other universe stuck here because of Kingpin. This animated film is very different, unique in many ways to be honest. The animation style makes this a stellar-looking one, designers opted to use comic-style rather than normal animation style. The comic style is like you are reading an actual comic book, each detail is made in a way that you think they are hand-drawn. The efforts taken in creating and rendering this film were worth it. The film is inundated with so much high-quality design, byzantine animation, one can't take their eyes off the screen and even afford to miss a scene. The animation alone is the highlight of the film. Winning the Oscar for Best Picture and conquering the Disney mafia over that category for years. You will notice how great the film is from technical areas of the film to more simple ones, the film is amazing and solid. Each character is given a lot to do and their voice artists are great. Shimek Moore, Jake Johnson, and Nicholas Cage were my favorite in their role. Mahershala Ali as Uncle Aaron sounded like a completely different person in this movie, I didn't even know he was in this movie until the credits rolled. The script is super tight, and each character uses different words, like Nicholas Cage's character, Spiderman Noir, doesn't use any words that were made after the 1930s. Lord and Miller are probably one of my favorite duos in Hollywood right now. Their writing is so sharp and quick, and I love it. with a menacing villain, Spiderman into the Spider-verse is so original and creative and full of twists and turns. It takes the idea of Spiderman and twists it a lot of times until we got Miles Morales. The fantastic story also feels like that it's ripped straight from the comics. Jammed with some great spidey humor, a development story that is satisfying and worth watching. The film also dazzles us with some of the year’s greatest soundtrack. The combination of rap and daft-punk-like music is amazing, the film contains great Spidey-related action as well. The final battle not only looks amazing with colors thrown in, but that doesn’t mean the fights are bad, no, the action is fluent as well, it's smooth and light. Overall Spiderman Into the Spider-verse, might contain a bad title, it doesn’t take away its strength dazzling display of style, and story. The tongue-in-cheek narration finds a way to celebrate the ups and downs of the Toby McGuire & Andrew Garfield Spiderman eras. Though adding them to narration or film would have made this even better, filmmakers missed an opportunity there. Also, it's as much of a nod to the past as it is a celebration of the future of this franchise. Now, if Sony can find a way to make its villains as intense as they were in this movie-in their live-action films-they will be able to milk the franchise for all it's worth.

Bonus
Voice cast. Light action with dazzling animation. Comic book-like animation. Soundtrack. Spidey-humor. Strong script.
