For whatever reason, my mind is always coming back to CONTACT.
My absolute favorite part of science fiction is the element of discovery. The scenes of Jodie Foster and her team discovering the noises and images from space and trying to figure out what all of it means is some damn good filmmaking if you ask me.
I still go back and forth on the ending, but for the most part, I like it. Which is probably the best I'll ever be able to do.
CONTACT is INTERSTELLAR.5 and I will always love it. One of the finest pieces of sci-fi I have ever seen.

The best thing I can say about this movie is that Walt Disney would have been extremely proud of it. Or maybe not considering the movie's message and his *ahem* bias towards people of the Jewish faith.
In normal circumstances, I'd say that this is the best animated movie I've seen since, I don't know, TOY STORY 3, but these aren't normal circumstances. Pixar changed the game 8 or so months ago, so ZOOTOPIA will have to take the silver this time.
I'd be shocked if this doesn't make my end-of-the-year favorites list.

Even though there are some easy improvements to make in the script, this movie affected me more than I thought it would when I just sat down to re-watch it.
I'd encourage anyone to try to cut out the noise and really take a close look, because MAN OF STEEL really doesn't deserve the backlash it gets.
HOT TAKE: I prefer this movie to anything in the MCU.

"Oops I did it again"
Yeah, my mom wanted to see this so I watched it again. Danny Boyle must be a magician because even though this is the third time I've seen this (2nd in the last few days) it still felt brand new????? Like how?????
I love this movie so so so so so so so much.

You see, the problem with trying to re-make THE DEPARTED is that no matter what, you'll never be as good as THE DEPARTED.
Still worth a watch for the action scenes and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

This got under my skin even more than the first time I saw it. Far and away the most important film of the last 10 years from a sociopolitical perspective.
People, especially film fans, should have been just as invigorated (in a different way) to this as they were to Mad Max or The Force Awakens.
People who dismiss this as being "boring" or just trashing on it in any way are people that I pity. This is real life folks, don't be complacent, because this easily could have been you.
See the damn movie.

WOW. What an experience. What a movie. I went from liking it a lot when I first watched it, to a 5 star, all time favorite potential after watching it for a second time.
I can also say with the utmost confidence that Act II (pre next launch) was the best 30 or so minutes of filmmaking that 2015 had to offer.
There are still a few movies I liked more from 2015, but hardly none that I respect more.

I really, really, really, REALLY wanted to like this movie. But I can't justify it.

Whenever I have to make the case that a perfect movie exists, ZODIAC is my go to. Nothing in this movie doesn't work. Maybe the fact that it rained so much in California wasn't realistic but who cares.
Unquestionably Fincher's most accomplished work and my favorite of his wonderful filmography.

Watching Deadpool do his thing was A+++ cinema. Everything else was irrelevant. Still a fun lil' movie!

Just finished watching this for the third time and damn it am I still impressed.
It succeeds not only as a continuation of the previous three Craig films, but also as a first-rate action/adventure film that opens up a whole new world of possibilities for the future. Should Craig return, of course.
Do I like it as much as SKYFALL? Eh, I don't know, but as for right now this is still my favorite movie of 2015 and still tied with its predecessor for my favorite Bond film. And shouldn't that be good enough?

Kinda the same movie as the last one with the not so convincing motivation of "I have to prove my ancestor was a cool guy".
Idk I still liked this movie quite a bit and am dying to know what was on Page 47.
