Kowloon Hydras (クーロンズヒュドラ) are a water-dwelling dragon subspecies.[1]
Appearance[]
The Kowloon Hydras look like a pitch-black plesiosaurus with white and violet flippers, and eight snake-like dragon heads with white, black and red frills, white fangs and bright yellow eyes.
Overview[]
Kowloon Hydras engage in a cycle of rampaging the land until their magical powers are spent, at which they sleep at the bottom of lakes for ten years, until they drain enough magical power from the land to wake up and start rampaging again.
The method that kingdoms commonly use to deal with these monsters, is to first look for signs that they are about to awaken, such as vegetation sprouting on surrounding land when the draining of magical power is lessening, before sending armies to wear the Kowloon Hydras down until they have to sleep again. People actually killing Kowloon Hydras are practically unheard of, except in the rare case against the one sleeping in a lake close to Axel.[2]
Abilities[]
- Regeneration: Kowloon Hydras can regenerate their heads and some parts of their body when they are lost, as long as they have enough magical power.
Trivia[]
- They were designed based off the Yamata no Orochi from Japanese mythology and the Hydra from Greek mythology.
