Assault Ants (
Appearance[]
Assault Ants, except for their huge size, look just like brown ants with red eyes. Depending on their rank in the nest, they may also grow wings and different colouration, as well as wear other indications of their position in the hierarchy.
Overview[]
Assault Ants live in underground nests with passages wide enough to serve as caves, which various other monsters may also end up inhabiting.[1] As a result Assault Ants can be quite aggressive towards other creatures, though they may come to coexist with certain monsters like Goblins.
According to how the Lich who created them had initially designed, the regular Assault Ants are workers that work to collect and process a type of nectar prized by sweet shops. Above them are other ranks of specialisations, including Soldier, Winged, Samurai, and Queen.[2]
