Penal Ties! (or Alma Mater Return! in the PlayStation version) is a mission in Grand Theft Auto 2 available during Area 2: Residential, given to the protagonist Claude Speed by the Redneck boss Billy Bob Bean. The mission is available from the red phone on the northwestern island of the Mobile RV Park in Residential District, after the completion of Gang Car Bang!
Maximum Respect for the Rednecks is required in order to unlock this mission, indicated by the red light icon below the gang's respect-o-meter on the HUD.
Description[]
Billy Bob Bean wants revenge on the guards at Alma Mater Prison for his past experiences. Claude is arrested to get inside the facility, then locates Billy Bob's contact, The Hump, who hands him a keycard to the Guard Room. Claude gets a uniform and weapon from there before killing the prison's guards and starting a riot. He then destroys the front gates, escapes with a Special Agent Car and returns to the Mobile RV Park.
Reward[]
The reward for completing the mission is $70,000, +1 Score Multiplier, and increased Rednecks Respect level.
