Get Gama Rei is a mission in Grand Theft Auto 2 available during Area 1: Downtown, given to the protagonist Claude Speed by the Yakuza boss Johnny Zoo. The mission is available from the right yellow phone in the neighborhood of Funabashi in Downtown District.
Moderate Respect for the Yakuza is required in order to unlock this mission, indicated by the yellow light icon below the gang's respect-o-meter on the HUD.
Description[]
Johnny Zoo informs Claude that Gama Rei is at the City Hospital in plastic surgery, but the Loonies are sending out assassins for him since he knows valuable secrets. Johnny sends Claude out to pick up Gama Rei via a Medicar. When he arrives and picks up Gama Rei, Loony assassins close-in for the kill. Claude manages to evade the assassins and get Gama Rei to the safehouse.
Reward[]
The reward for completing the mission is $40,000, +1 Score Multiplier, and increased Yakuza Respect level.
