The Wing Panel is an aerodynamic machine block.
Unlike most blocks, this block has directional drag - as it goes faster, it will create more drag against its flat sides.
Settings[]
This block has no configurable settings.
Usage[]
In vanilla, the Wing Panel makes for a good structural block in aircraft because of its large size, many connection points, and aerodynamic properties. It also doesn't need to be rotated to be useful.
It is also unique in that blocks placed on its root are not aligned to the placement grid; they have a 0.227m offset. Before Advanced Building, this was used to get blocks in places they wouldn't normally go.
In terms of pure utility, it is still outclassed by the Propeller. However, it is much easier to set up - especially if drag is the goal. Some examples of this include airbrakes and speed limiters (allowing high acceleration with reasonable top speeds).
Technology[]
This block could be used in place of propellers in technology, but this is not recommended in the slightest.
