Farmer Gascoigne is the seventh stage on the isle of Tolbrynd. It features the first dangerous melee enemy and many plots of crops to pillage.
Objective[]
The crops that are required to be pillaged.
The objective is to destroy most of the crops while surviving attacks from the farmers using scythes to attack your machine. Note that the farmers cannot cut through any type of armor.
The most simple way is to create a machine equipped with a few Plows attached in front, and some armor to protect from the attacking farmers. Weapons such as Circular Saws, Drills, or Metal Blades can also be used to kill the farmers and cut the crops.
Another potential solution involves a basic frame with two (or more) cutter arms revolving around it. You will need to counter the rotation with either various propulsion methods, Reaction Wheels or another set of arms spinning in the opposite direction, but it proves quite effective against both crops and farmers alike.
Flamethrowers or other flaming blocks can be used to burn the crops, but this will not cut them down. For this reason, and the fact that the crops burning will very likely set your machine alight, flames are not particularly recommended for this level.
