The Bomb is the most powerful explosive weapon in the game.
Settings[]
This block has no configurable settings.
Behaviour[]
The bomb can't connect to anything itself, and needs to be either carried or held by a Grabber.
It's quite fragile - it detonates when it hits something at speed, catches fire, or is shot by arrows.
- Note that it only explodes if it hits something at speed - if it's already in contact with a block and that block starts pushing really hard, it won't explode.
- It also doesn't explode when shot with a Shrapnel Cannon or Water Cannon.
Upon exploding, everything in its area of effect is blasted away and set on fire. Bombs and other explosives caught in the blast will also detonate immediately.
The technical stats of the explosion are as follows:
- Explosion radius: 7 metres
- Force: 4200 (over 0.01 seconds)
- Linear falloff.
Usage[]
The primary use of this block is smiting your enemies, of course. They do need to be protected until ready for use - you don't want your enemies to shoot them and blow you up instead.
Grabbers are very useful for holding bombs and ensuring they won't explode because your catapult turned a bit too suddenly. They're also useful for carrying them around in general or attaching them to missiles.
Scaling them up or down only affects the visuals of the explosion, not its physical effects. This is helpful on missiles and rockets, since they're quite big.
Trivia[]
- Bombs can be found scattered around on the ground in some levels - e.g. Old Howl Battlefield.
