The Burkinabé National Quidditch team competed at the International level, and won the 2006 Quidditch World Cup. The Burkinabé Seeker Joshua Sankara became the Minister for Magic for Burkina Faso for 2 days, before he resigned to continue playing Quidditch.[3]
