Burma is a country in South East Asia, located between Thailand, China, India, Laos and Bangladesh. Its capital is Naypyidaw.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Harry suggests the snake to be from Burma instead of itself saying it was heading to Brazil. Furthermore it may be where the snake is going to in the film despite never being mentioned by the snake. Also, the film snake is a Python, which contradicts the book snake which is a Boa constrictor.[2]
- Despite being bred in captivity it may have some family in Burma.
- In the real-world, after 1989, the name of the country in English changed from Burma to "Myanmar", and officially the "Republic of the Union of Myanmar".[1]
