Sebastiaan "Bas" Rutten is a voice actor and character who appears in Grand Theft Auto IV, Episodes from Liberty City, and mentioned in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
History[]
Background[]
He is a real life former Dutch UFC Champion and helped with motion capture of Niko Bellic's fighting during the making of Grand Theft Auto IV.
Bas was in the movie "Here Comes The Boom", a comedy where he plays a character named Niko, which the film's director admitted was a reference to Niko Bellic.
Bas has openly admitted that he hates Virtual Reality Games, mostly because he can not maim people.
Events of Grand Theft Auto IV[]
He is the co-host of "The Men's Room" along with Jeremy St. Ives on televison.
He is shown to be more aggressive while his co-host Jeremy is the nicer of the two. Although Bas has allegedly committed many crimes that would place him in prison for several life sentences, he remains on television giving advice to "other angry men". Bas has also written books, according to an episode of The Men's Room, his next book will be called "You Are Either The Boss, Or The Bitch".
Because of his over aggressive attitude, it is hinted he may use steroids; much like Brucie Kibbutz.
Stating 'anger' as a four-letter word in his show hints (HD universe) Bas' probable low education level. More likely, however, it is an indirect reference to the fact that Bas will have frequent use of foul four-letter words when he is about to angrily attack other individuals.
His 'polite' reference to male audience is 'genimal', a portmanteau of 'gentlemen' and 'animal'.
Bas and Jeremy also appears in some billboards in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
